Thanks for the input. I'll try raising the ride height. I don't really know of they added any spring preload or not. They are very bouncy if the shocks are not set to the hardest setting.
My car came with Tein Flex coils installed and the ride is terrible. I have read enough to know these coilovers are not great. I also believe the car is too low because the weight transfer just feels "weird" to me when I corner aggressively. Maybe I'm wrong there? The handling sucks compared to...
You'll get a CEL on OBD2 without cats. Not sure if you will still get it with the HFC but you could probably fix that with an O2 spacer (correct me if I'm wrong about this on the NSX). I have been running the pride HFC for almost a year, no complaints. Test pipes have more flow, but unless...
I've been through a lot of cars and while the new M3, C63, etc are quick they will never have the status of something like an NSX. They are powered-up entry-level luxury cars and they will always be outdated and significantly less desirable as soon as the next generation comes out. Same reason...
Yeah.. I need to get my fuel pump changed and need someone to take a look over the whole car. Looks like I have some leaky valve cover gaskets and/or oil pan gasket, might need a valve adjustment, and my AC isn't working all that great lately. Might as well make the trip.
I live down in Woodbridge and the most recommended techs are up in MD... Is there anyone a little closer? I took my 911 turbo to convenience auto care in Mannassas but it was incredibly expensive and the work wasn't perfect.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend something maybe out in Manassas...
I just ordered the walbro 255 kit from SOS. How many hours of labor should I expect if I take this to a dealer or local shop? I don't have nearly enough room to do this install at home.
I shorted the resistor connector and the car ran perfectly. Guess my fuel pump isn't running right on the lower setting. Considering I haven't ever had any problems starting the car or having it cut out on me, I assume the relay is probably good. Maybe if I get some extra time I'll take it out...
Actually my car only has 52k miles on it but it is a '91 :(. I haven't tried bypassing the resistor yet to see what happens. I was running the test with an annoying harbor freight gauge, but I'll be getting a B&M gauge in tomorrow to mount to the fuel filter. I'll do the resistor test then and...
My car had some bogging and hesitation when I first got it, which I attributed to the new headers and high flow cats I had installed and the ECU needing to adapt. I reset it a few times and the problem went away for about 6 months. Now it's back and I'm getting a code 1 and 2 if I run the car at...
Yeah having a 91 makes it even funnier. I am thinking of getting antique VA tags for mine next year. Mainly because they're black with white lettering and would look pretty cool on my black NSX. The clueless people would be even more confused.
I had a pretty sweet looking 997 911 turbo cabriolet before I got my NSX... got a few comments about that car but with the NSX it's pretty much constant. I love it, an NSX with aftermarket wheels looks better than just about anything IMO. I've had so many people ask me about the car and they are...
Yeah, I will probably get the scoop and drop-in filter. I have been looking at FI systems out of curiosity, haha...I hope I can resist for at least the next year or two.
Got the car home today. Ran into a minor issue on the way. The car was bogging a little when under high load and eventually threw a CEL. I reset the ECU and it went away. Had to do it again about halfway through. I am going to chalk it up to the fact that it was FREAKIN' COLD and the car just...
The wheels are Volk Racing GTF wheels. They definitely look great in person! Gold or bronze wheels look really nice with a black car, in my opinion.
I just picked the car up today and I am absolutely impressed. I drove about 4.5 hours tonight and the car was really comfortable and so easy to...
Pride exhaust arrived and was installed today :). Big thanks to Mark at Pride for shipping this so quickly and Brian at Source1 Automotive for getting it installed fast too! Awesome service.

Can't wait to see it in person, quality looks sweet in the pictures.
I talked to the seller about this car. They are holding out for $55k. It is a 2 owner car though and the current owner has had the car for 10 years. I think if it needed no reconditioning at all then it would sell quick but it looks like it needs a little cleaning up. Either way it's definitely...
Thanks! I am really grateful for how much information is available on this forum and on the wiki. I think that's honestly one of the biggest factors I consider when buying a car these days!
I should have mentioned, but the sporty cars I've owned most recently were a 2011 Mustang GT and a 2008...
Been lurking around prime for a while waiting for the car I want and I came across this thread:

~50k miles, recent repaint, very nice wheels, all major maintenance items taken care of.. and...
