Thanks. Yeah, that’s why I’m leaning towards just DPs when I eventually go that route. Just wasn’t sure if the 30lb savings with a valveless exhaust was worthwhile.
July ‘22?!? Dang, guess it’s a moot point then. I have since found out that Pride is local, and they seem to have some happy customers, so I’ll probably go that route for downpipes, and stick with the factory exhaust for now. Thanks for the reply.
Preface: I love the car so far in my short ownership period, and it’s a fabulous semi-daily driver.
But… I find the ingress/egress on the NC1 the most difficult of any car I’ve driven/owned. This thing makes the Gen V ACR and 991 RS with carbon buckets look easy. It’s hard to make a graceful...
Search didn’t yield any results. Wondering if anyone has any experience with larger tires on the OEM wheels? I’m interested in MPSC2 tires and going 10mm wider front and rear (F 255/35-19, R 315/30-20). According to Tirerack the wheels widths are fine, but hoping someone has actually done it and...
Hi all. Long time lurker, but I finally bought a car. I don’t take delivery until next Thursday, and the wait is excruciating.
I am considering the exhaust options, and l and hoping there is a SOS Sport+ Valve Delete exhaust owner in the DFW area,
who wouldn’t mind letting me hear their car...
I know it's been a couple months, but I'll post anyway. If Forgeline and Finspeed can build 18" wheels to fit over the CCBs on the Viper ACR, I'm sure it can be done on the NC1 too. Just a thought.
I agree, and I think a trap speed is even more telling than ET. I’m not a drag guy at all, but trap speeds generally don’t lie and are the first metric I look at for “fun” cars, with 60-130 being a close second.
Just went to see the new Corvette at a local dealer, and there was a white 2017 NSX in the lot. Had downpipes and JB4, and the owner was kind enough to start it up for me. Sounded great and he claimed it made a drastic difference in performance. Starting to think a 17-18 might be the right car...
Gorgeous example. Im not a blue car guy, but this blue is exceptional. Is asking price still the one in the first post?
I’m currently working on selling my Viper ACR, and would be interested should it sell. GLWS.
Interesting. I’m pretty sure I saw a post on this forum saying somebody had swapped bars. I’ll need to look more into that to see if it’s viable. I’m generally a DIY type, so hourly cost isn’t really an issue as long as it’s doable. I also expect to have a lift installed shortly.
Yeah, my guess is the tires and sway bars make up almost all of that time, but that’s just a hunch. Both tires and sway bars are an easy change.
Went back today to talk to the dealer about a possible trade for the ACR, but they will have to get back to me on a price. It’s clear they have no...
I do agree with regard to a modded car and warranty. That being said, it seems the downpipes and JB4 are minimally invasive, so wouldn’t think maintaining a warranty is much of an issue. Good to know about the $60k off timeframe. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply. The article linked below mentions the remapped hybrid software, which is why I asked. But if the changes really aren’t noticeable, it does seem like a 17 or 18 would make sense from a financial standpoint. The ACR has been an absolutely phenomenal car, I just have the itch...
Can anyone say if the engine mapping changes in the 2019s is actually noticeable? Or what is actually different? I’ve read the articles and understand the hardware changes between the years (sway bars and stiffer rear hub), but can’t find any other concrete info. The sway bars can be bought from...
I’m aware of the $20K Acura cash for the 2019s, but wondering what kind of discount or price to expect before the Acura cash. The only info I can seem to find is 9% off MSRP, is that accurate? So somewhere around $40k off a fully loaded car?
I could have sworn at some point I read about...
