like most non critical problems in life this sounds like a combination of time money and aggravation so don't sweat too hard over it. first thing is get better and more modern engine management. Regarding the blower, i don't know what makes it the finest supercharger system out there as...
Nah. By FAR the best thread here is that pediphile dude who tried to pimp for his own gambling website and was outed. Got picked up by nnews outlets and crashed the site for a while with the traffic
i wonder how many that were married when this thread started are divorced or miserably married vs. still happy. i was knee deep in my divorce at the time and zero regrets despite the financial nut kick.
i've about run out of things to modify on my nsx as i have almost everything SOS sells. your CNC items looks great and i could definitely see a battery holder in my car. what's the price point?
lol @ death sentence. I know you have a monster build on yours Hugh (as do I). But death sentence? haha. I ran the "death sentence" BBSC for 50k miles and beat the shit out of it before I lost a ringland, tracking something like 7000 miles spraying methanol etc. Would probably still be...
I have an AEM series 2 stand alone. installed and removed by SOS locally. Moved on to an AEM infinity after a few years of excellent service given by my AEM.
Will ship it at your expense or pick up locally.
$500
i make well over 600 rwhp with the SOS twin turbo setup. I'm running the SOS clutch and it's nothing short of awesome. I've had twin disk carbon clutches and it was like an on/off switch. The SOS one i'm running (i think it's the highest rated one they make) feels like and engages like stock.
If you end up wanting to upgrade i do have my aem series 2 stand alone. I upgraded to the Infiniti for a bunch of cash so have been looking to sell off my series 2. I'm in arizona of your going to expo
sold to a future turbo owner last week
you can call SOS in chandler and ask what they recommend or look on their website and see what is in the flexfuel system they sell. I've been using it for 8 years now with zero issues in that department. Broke a few things related to all the power i make with e85 but the system itself is great
i havent look on their website in a while but they had a few different SOS turbo charts on there. one was mine from when i was running pump gas only, 605 rwhp@ 17psi. Later went E85 and put down 675. just find one of a zillion stock nsx charts and compare them.
I'm sure any competent tuner has accounted for a lack of aftercooler and associated intake temps. You could less expensively do a water injection system. I ran meth on mine. that will keep your intake temps down, and if you're not tracking, a gallon resovoir will last you quite a while...
ahh still some BBSC's kicking around eh. I know he sold a couple hundred of them. too bad he didn't have a professional tuner do the tuning... might've kept his business from imploding...not to mention there wasn't a great selection of ECU selection.. i had mine about 50,000 miles.
So...
yes it's a stage 2 SOS build. Compression and leakdown all within spec at...40k?? miles. Unfortunately I money shifted 3rd into 2nd and now i'm buying another SOS motor.... the compression and leakdown numbers are STILL good, but my bearings are dying... right after my stock 6spd finally gave...
i've had my SOS twin setup for pushing..8?? maybe 9 years, it's been exceptionally reliable. And I do mean exeptionally. I have tracked the car for thousands upon thousands of miles with the kit and no complaints.
its like most mods. narrows your seller's market. adds some value, but likely in the 50% per dollar spent range... I've got a built engine and a no holds barred turbo setup that probably cost 25 or 30k all in. no way it's going to add 30k of value.
most any intercooled nsx will be a water based intercooler. i don't think there are any air/air setups. science of speed has one you can look on their website
