Cesca, I'll give them a call on monday and will keep you informed. Shipment should not be an issue with the right insurance.

    Gen one FL to France

I've helped a friend of mine import a motorbike in France a couple of years ago. The French authorities wil require a "Certificat de conformité" to prove the car conforms to EU standards. Honda France is the place to go to to get the document. I know these guys quite well and could ask them what...

Forced Induction LoveFab turbo for sale in France

Since I decided to stop tracking the car, I removed my LoveFab turbo and now contemplate selling the complete kit including the AEM EMU I've done approximately 20 thousand kilometers with it mainly driving back and forth to track days. Idealy it should be picked-up locally but I could package it...

    As-new SOS Endura Lite Exhaust

Hi Ex36, I was looking for an exhaust with a reasonable noise level and you seem to be happy with the "Circuit Werks" model. Is it the same as this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/151247990070?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&fromMakeTrack=true Thanks John

Brake balance following upgrade to rear Brembo BBK

Coming back to the Spa Francorchamps track day here are some comments I'd like to share. Clearly the NA NSX is no match for the current cars I met! A majority of GT3's of course, one Z06, some KTM's and Lotus Exige's. but also McLaren's. Even the Alpine Renault with it's 1.6 liter engine would...

Brake balance following upgrade to rear Brembo BBK

Yes, I had calculated a front bias of 53.85% assuming same disk sizes. I believe Honda augmented the rear bias on the NA2 to improve the wet weather breaking. The offset of that would indeed be rear wheel lock up in the dry. Knowing that, Honda introduced the proportionning valves on the NA2 to...

Brake balance following upgrade to rear Brembo BBK

I came back from Spa Francorchamps today and here's what I dicovered. It's a long journey to get there from my place in France with around 1000 km of mainly highways but not only... The pads had been bedded in before I left, at least that's what I though! In fact when I got closer to the track...

Brake balance following upgrade to rear Brembo BBK

I got my RSL 29 Pagid rear brake pads today! They are yellow and pricy ... Here are the specs: https://www.pagidracing.com/en/products/racing-brake-pads/product-family-rsl.html

Brake balance following upgrade to rear Brembo BBK

Hi Bruno, Thanks for the confirmation on the proportionning valve! I suppose it was added on the 2002 ABS models to reduce the pressure to the rear calipers to avoid lock up in emergency braking? Given that I'm using larger pistons front and rear, I'm creating more stopping power at less fluid...

Brake balance following upgrade to rear Brembo BBK

For many years, I used a BBK from Movi't in Germany consisting of 322x32 rotors and Brembo calipers as used on the Porsche 993 Turbo. The setup worked very well with a home made kit with 4 piston AP Racing calipers in the rear. Beeing a perfectionist...I bought a Brembo rear BBK with 330x28...

    Oil catch can

I believe there is no difference between NA and CTSC with respect to the PCV design as the throttle body gets the income air at atmospheric pressure in both cases. The problems arise when you go turbo!

BBVNSX 93 EDM NSX - From Portugal!

Hi Bruno, outstanding job as usual. I believe I went the same route as you by upgrading my front Brembo/Porsche front brake setup ( 38 and 44 mm pistons) with the rear BBK from Brembo with 36 and 40 mm pistons. It would probably be a good idea now to upgrade the M/C as you did. What's the...

    Best Currently Available Headers?

I recently fitted a complete NA2 exhaust including headers on my 3.0 L NSX and I'm very pleased with the result. Coming from a LoveFab turbo setup, I was anxious about the mid rang torque but the result is well above expectations. The power delivery is very smooth making the car more enjoyable...

Billy Johnson and Moto IQ's: Project NSX

Billy, I really appreciated your article as I've been wondering for years about what larger tires would fit the NSX. Thanks for mentionning that the Cup2's in that dimension don't hinder the great feel of the NSX. I believe you are running the wider Downforce front wings upfront but what about...

Honcho's Long Road to Imola Type-S Zero

I'm also running the S2000 AP1 modulator with the cabling recommended by Kaz. Works great both on the road and on track! Most probably the best safety upgrade for the NSX

    Alignment issue

Yes, and the more so with toe-out up front. That's one of the reasons I prefer slight toe-in. The car feels much more stable without requiring constant corrections on poor roads.

RYU's "properly molested" NSX build thread

I'll update you when the rear Brembo BBK is installed on the car. As for the weight I'm at 1301 kg (2865 lbs) with a half a tank full. This is with my LoveFab turbo, NA2 headlights, bucket seats, CE 22 wheels. I'll have to measure again since I went back to NA.

RYU's "properly molested" NSX build thread

I've used a similar brake setup on my NSX with Brembo (ex Porsche 996 turbo) calipers with 38 and 44 mm pistons on 322x32 disks upfront and CP 7611 38.1mm X2 calipers on rear NA2 disks. There was sitll too much front bias but worse, one of the rear disks literally disintegrated during a 120+ mph...

Back to NA after 10 years of FI

It's most probably possible (according to the schematic on page 19-88) to get the throttle actuator to open the throttle if the TCS throttle lever is positionned on the other side of the cam dog? The way I see it operate would be to actuate the "blip" through a little switch on the gear lever...

Back to NA after 10 years of FI

You guys conviced me to leave it unconnected as while one can disable it manually, it will always rearm whenever you start the engine.

Back to NA after 10 years of FI

Thanks Christian, I'll try that after checking the connection of the ALB 18 pin connector as suggested by Kaz.

Back to NA after 10 years of FI

Thanks Kaz, I will try that as soon as it stops freezing over here. BTW, I agree with you; the TCS is almost useless and I had to switch it off as soon as I got to any track meeting. The main reason for getting it to work again is to get the car back to OEM as far as possible... However as I was...
