Details
This 2000 NSX-T comes in Silverstone with black interior. If you are a fan of pop-up headlights (who isn’t?) and want the larger 3.2L NA2 engine, this is the NSX that you have been looking for.
Main upgrades from stock are limited to the following:
- Comptech Supercharger
- Comptech engine cover (compatible with stowing the targa roof)
- Comptech Powerclutch (to handle the extra power)
- Science of Speed Short Shift kit
As far as I know, the rest of the car is stock, and has never been modified. The NA2 NSX (3.2L V6) pairs incredibly well with the Comptech Supercharger. The broader torque band and extra horsepower really enhance the driving experience, and the SoS short shift kit pairs well with the Supercharger. This car also has the Comptech engine cover, which is quite rare, and allows you to still stow the Targa top in the engine bay even with the Supercharger installed. If you live in California, note that the Comptech Supercharger is CARB legal, and passes smog without any problems.
Ownership History
The original owner of the car wintered in Florida and drove the car as a daily driver during the winters, then shipped the car for storage back to New Jersey every spring/summer. He owned the car until 2015. The second owner was a retired gentleman in Florida, and put very few miles on the car for 2 years. I have been the owner for the past 4 years, and mileage has been limited to <1000 miles/year.
Interior Cosmetic condition
Interior is mostly in excellent condition. Panels and instruments are clean, and leather is in very good shape on the seats and door panels.
- The driver side bolster has wear as shown in the pictures. This is quite typical, as that area is brushed against each time the driver gets in and out of the car
- The driver side interior door handle also has some paint chipping around it
- Shift knob was replaced with a brand new OEM knob a few years ago
- NSX-R floor mats are only a few years old. I also have the original grey floor mats and will include them in the sale, but they do have quite a bit of wear, as would be consistent with 20 year old floor mats
Exterior Cosmetic condition
Excellent condition, but not pristine. The car has 88k miles, and the condition is consistent with the mileage.
- The paint is in great condition, and the car has clearly been regularly washed and garaged, but there are minor chips in the paint, especially on the front leading edges (front bumper, lower part of hood, behind wheels, etc). Again, this is all consistent with the mileage of the car, and mostly only visible upon close inspection.
- No dents in the panels, all in extremely good condition
- All trim is present and in good condition
- Rims have some curb rash, but nothing major. See pictures for detail
- Lower Front spoiler lip could use replacing. These are cheap and easy to replace, and are designed as a consumable part for this very purpose
Mechanical Condition
- All maintenance records since 1999 kept in a binder. Car has seen regular maintenance since new.
- Comptech Supercharger is CARB legal, and has easily passed smog twice while in my ownership
- Major maintenance items were performed at 60k miles
- A/C compressor was recently replaced and refrigerant recharged
- Passenger side power door lock does not work. Likely needs a new solenoid to actuate the lock. You must manually lock/un-lock the door
- Tires are BF-Goodrich G-Force summer times and only have about 4k miles on them.
