While I’d like an update, especially the touchscreen, audio, and battery, it is quite satisfying to see P deliver inferior performance for high dollar nearly 10 years late. Probably with a rougher ride too. But livelier handling and steering feedback, and a backseat…hmmm choices
Having had a V10 in an Audi S6, and a Gallardo, I don’t miss the sound. One exception might be the throttle blip on downshift in the latter. I would, however look to a modern turbo S to get a backseat and be back under warranty, as well as a little better steering feel and acceleration… shame...
Loud or quiet compared to what? Sport mode will get attention from underpaid guys in uniform. I particularly like the resonant gong on upshift. Sure it’s no 458…but stealthy torque is also fun.
The audio in my 17 doesn’t suit me and I’m getting weary of the ceramic brake feel in my dirty cold climate. Paint is dull. Sucks having one of they best cars and no way to trade up ;)
I’m thinking of upgrading my 2017 NSX to a type S as I am not sure I can stomach another 911 and don’t love my current options package. Wife not pleased I’d be in twice as deep though (paid 140).
Pfizer series, then bivalent booster when it first came out. Nothing since. I developed peripheral neuropathy interestingly a couple months before covid hit the news. One suspicious illness during which I didn’t get tested. One close exposure and tested neg. Enough kids back to school virions...
Keeping mine past warranty. Delightful so far. Bit of longing for a new turbo s but poor value high depreciation and deafening chop on our winter roads.
Keeping mine. 2017. Just incredible so far. Driving in WI winter but not daily. Bit of longing for a new turbo s but I’d be trading it for the next new thing at great depreciation and poor initial value.
Porsche dynod their mezger blocks to 105% of rated power. I guess if it only pulled 104 they’d toss it back in the pond. Completely out of character IMO. They’d sell a steering wheel made of twizzlers if it could pass NTSB import.
Tech old in concept, possible on design sheets in 2015, still new to the public. And ours was introduced long before McLaren dared. The pertinent question is, what could Honda do clean sheet two years from today?
Folks on the McLaren forum will admit to quality issues similar to Ferrari of 20...
Apology if I missed this thought above — the simple upgrade for all GEN 2 is battery and timing/degree of engagement. So ECU and one piece of hardware. At near equal weight, what can a battery of today do versus one from 8-10 years ago?
And wouldn’t Honda like the foreshadow their third...
Oh haha that lucid torque will really challenge the grip. But if I recall, there are a bunch of different driving modes. Super comfortable car. A reinvention of the automobile, in my mind.
Or these ?

After reading the article about the journalist driving NC1 at the Bridgestone test track, posted elsewhere on this for him, I had these mounted last month. White knuckles until confidence builds, but it’s a 3 to 4 season...
My 2017 had a (?dissimilar) buzzing sound from underneath the trapezoid shaped leather covered insert below middle of windscreen. Splinting the piece with up or down pressure would stop the noise. It related to hitting bumps and certain ambient temperatures. Was louder than wind engine and...
I find the original more attractive than the type S, except for that sweet Gotham gray.
The most challenging upgrade might be the different gear ratio for the front electric motors. The best upgrade in my opinion would be putting the car on a diet, or a bigger, stronger battery. I know that’s...
Having owned and sold or traded a C4S, 997tt, two subsequent turbo s, a gt3, and a gt2 rs, it was hope of “better next time” and some bullshit article like this that hooked me. 60 years later one still arrives in a 911 “half deaf and beaten up” or whatever the Clarkson quote is. In default...
