Thoughts on the SOS Sport+ Valve-Delete Exhaust vs Valve-tronic Sport Exhaust

I hear you about Comptech and Honda having a long term relationship. Having said that, I would also argue that SOS has a long term relationship with Honda/Acura. I think once you go past the exhaust and a simple piggyback unit like the JB4 to a cracked ECU you have crossed the line.

What I don’t know is that if you run the JB4 as if you had 100 octane fuel but were actually running 91 octane, could you damage the engine? Would it show up in a diagnostic review?

If you run the KTuner and again run with only 91 octane but use the new code as if you had 100 octane, what could happen and could Acura figure it out?

My gut tells me that Acura/Honda is pretty supportive up until you mess with their programming
You would have an impossible task of proving your cracking of the ECU did not affect the reliability of the engine. The burden of proof would be on you and not Honda.

Nice thing here, that's a position I'll never be in. My mod list will stop with my SOS exhaust and downpipes.

Warranty? HA ha ha! Extended warranty? HA HA HA again!They are already having discontinued or unavailable parts for the NC1! I have a recall on mine and they say it could be September to get the part. I have been a cheerleader for the NSX (owned both )and Honda but I will never, never buy another "halo"car from them. I love the car(s) but this nonsupporting nonsense is the end for me. If they can ever do this recall correctly, and the car works fine, mine will be sold. I'll get a sports car from a manufacturer that gives a crap about supporting their car and customers. They have fooled me twice and will not thrice.

So who does a better job of support? Corvette? Porsche?, certainly not Audi or Lamborghini, or Ferrari or McLaren? Acura may be bad on getting some parts, but the likelihood you will need parts is so much worst with other brands that lack reliability.

They are at the mercy of the suppliers, it's not uncommon for parts to be on serious backorder. Honda seems to be much better than the majority of other automakers.

@Mingus

What seems to be the issue? What part is it? The fuel pump?
