Rear window and trunk lid hydraulic struts

Has anyone used Strut Wise lately? Frank did great work, but last I heard, he was having health issues. My trunk struts need a charge. Jerry

    NSX Service/repair Tampa

I never had my car serviced at Crown. I used to use Ferman Acura when they had an NSX tech. The last time I used them, one of their techs destroyed the interior under the steering wheel and left it in my trunk. At least they replaced it at a cost of over $400. After that I used Nibal in Orlando...

1991 NSX won't start. Alarm enabled

I will second the above. I had to remove my Viper alarm system. It drove me crazy. I rebuilt my starter twice, replaced and or refurbished the ignition switch too many times to count only to find the problem was with the Viper. Once removed, not a single hiccup in starting the car. Jerry

Lifting NA1 NSX Up Off Its Wheels on 4 Post Car Lift?

I have a BendPack 4 poster and a three air bag jack like the one mentioned above. The three bag lift is too tall in the relaxed position to fit under the NSX. The two bag jack looks like it will fit un Der the NSX. The three bag setup works well for my C-2 and C-3 vettes if I use the jack plate...

    Help heating problems

Mine was the opposite. Once the heat was on, it would not turn off. It turned out to be the control motor. I manually turned the valve to off as I am in Florida and don't use the heat. I did order a motor and got it from Japan after a six month wait. I have yet to install it. Good luck. Jerry

93 NSX. Click, No Crank, No Fuel Pump Prime

You mentioned that you found a Viper alarm in your car. I had one installed in my car for many years and it worked well until it did not. The alarm worked well but after a few years my car would not crank. I replaced the ignition switch a few times, cleaned and eventually replaced the starter. I...

    PLEASE HELP '02 NA2 NSX won't Crank/Start

While you are waiting for your ignition switch to arrive, consider removing your current switch and cleaning the contacts. I had the same problem you had and tried everything. I ended up removing my Viper alarm and all is well for a few years. Jerry

    Starter motors....

Sounds like you listed, but did not address the ignition switch. You can remove and carefully open it and clean the contacts. If they are burnt, the entire switch can be replaced for about $60. I had the same problem and chased it for some time. It turned out to be my aftermarket Viper alarm...

Looking for a NSX-like experience, what else is out there?

I am surprised no one mentioned the C-8 Corvette. It is an engineering marvel at the price and will out run most everything listed above. Jerry

    Replacing blower motor control box

Thanks for the quick reply, that is the part I am referring to in my post. The cable connects to the mix manifold valve on the firewall. I think I can access it without dismantling much. I am worried that the mix valve on the firewall side where the other end of the cable is frozen. I don't...

    Replacing blower motor control box

Since winter is coming to Central Florida, on occasion I use my heater in the mornings. That said, when I cranked up the heat, it came on and would not shut down. The problem was diagnosed as a broken heater control. The cable was lifted on the blower motor and the valve was turned off to...

    Shifter lubricant

I have had great success with Mobil1 red synthetic grease. I used it on the bearings and slides in my Corvette door about 10 years ago. I had to take the door apart to fix a switch and found the grease was as new. I also use it in my tapered wheel bearings. I also used it on the shifter linkage...

Honcho: Thanks for your help. When you inquire at the site to confirm parts, you are informed that the part is discontinued. When I used the link you provided, the items were in stock and the order processed. I will post upon delivery of the part. I thought finding parts for my 60s Corvettes...

6spd Manual Transmission Problem: 3rd Gear Keeps Popping Out

Mike: I am glad it worked out well for you. Nice to know there are still a few people that can service the subassemblies of these cars. Regarding the new SOS clutch, give it some seat time. I think you will find that the touch is a bit different compared to the stock setup. I had mine changed...
