Why only a targa top? The early cars are lighter. I would absolutely get a compression test with a leak down. Most Dealers know how to do this. High miles are okay if you have documented maintenance history. Otherwise, I would pass on a high mileage car. Lots of garage queens out there with...

Seems as though with such low rpms at 15mph they are trying to smog it in too high of a gear. In looking through the So Cal smog check thread, another owner was having a similar issue when the tech was trying to run the car in 2nd gear for the 15mph test. He was able to get the tech to run the...
