I believe AS Motorsports will custom order them for you. However its still a smooth back and not the skeleton/beveled back like the NSX R. You can also buy NSX-R style seat shells from NSX-Parts/ATR.

Thanks all I found out from Christian (ATR) that they are the same shape, but on the new 2002+ bumper beam the fog light mounts and indicator mounts are missing. It can be retro fitted though.

What's the difference between the front bumper beam for the 1990-2001 (71130-SL0-000) vs the 2002-2005 (71130-SL0-010)? I noticed that when people do the 2002+ conversion they don't need to change this part. Would a 1990-2001 bumper beam also work with a 2002+?

They are not literally the same seat. They look similar, but the ABE are wider and have smooth backs vs NSX-R skeleton like backs. The seat covers from the PP or PP ABE also don't fit the NSX-R seats.

If you are saying 97-05 coupe has the thicker frame rails of the targa, I think this is still a debatable topic and I don't think it's the case. The coupe is still the ~100lbs lighter which suggest it didn't get all the chassis reinforcements.

Do you have a published source that states that rule because I bought my USDM NSX from Canada and it also spent more than 3 years in Canada. Paid zero duty to bring it back. I didn't use any importer, I just followed the rules stated on the CBP website.

Yes, unfortunately the thicker bar will touch the battery/spare holder on 97+ cars. The NSX-R has a different holder that looks similar to the early cars and has the aero under tray. #3 (97+) vs #25 (NSX-R)
