Tie rod ends are an easy install if you don’t have any seized bolts. Personally I’d just have them do the installs and alignment if it’s $400. Tech labor rates has gone through the roof. I have BC coils, I’d go OEM or Bilstein if you don’t have any plans of going lower.

Dealership labor rates have increased 50-70% in the last couple of years. Techs are demanding more pay. Dealership techs are no different than the certified techs at mom and pop shops.

Who makes it? Is the logo engraved or sticker. I understand there’s not many like it but I’d like more information about it.

Just a tip.. your insurance labor rates might not be in line with your shop labor rates. Be sure to have that discussion with your adjuster and shop. You don’t want them end up paying $X per hour while shop is charging more.

It certainly is an option, you can have the inspection at your house or at the body shop. You want to make it clear to the insurance company you don’t want payments issued to shop until you approve the repairs. You can have the payment directly paid to you.
