Film! I got the film pics back and there were a couple good ones. This is Pentax K1000 + 85mm lens with Portra 400. First time with portra 400 and it looks a little more serious than the Kodak 200. Kodak 200 has more of a "your mom took disposable camera pics at your 8th birthday party" vibe...

Nice, they look great! For some reason I thought they were a PP frame. The ABE / ABE style seats are the only seats that look totally proper in the car, too bad they're just a bit big. My Evo 2's are also super comfortable, so hesitant to pull the trigger on new seats until i can sit in a few.

Yeah they are a total pain. You have pole positions, right? I lust over seats every now and then. The best options for me are probably the Recaro RS-G or maybe the bride zeta 4. Both of them seem skinny enough to get on the floor and not hit the door panels. I just don’t know how I fit in them...

Contact info for Chad of CT Engineering?

Hey, I might be able to help. Can you start a new thread and post some pictures of the engine bay and a closeup of the rear rail area?

Thanks! The seats, lol. They are the same, but I have the drivers seat one hole lower on the rear. The drivers seat is as low as it goes (and still not low enough for me), but it was a lot of work to get it that low and have it not interfere with everything. The passenger seat already interferes...

A/C Compressor replace with a 94 or newer?

I did end up using the early r12 replacement compressor and I did remove the header (it is comptech). Removing the header wasn’t so bad and gave me a ton of rooom. I can tell you a bit about what I learned There are 3 different oils you can use. Mineral oil, ester, and PAG. Mineral was in r12...

Thanks! I also love the meaty meats 🥩 Ha yeah a lift system is on the wishlist. I have an aftermarket lip. I tried it once and couldn’t make it out of the driveway. Definitely rolling with this scraped up one until it has air cups I do really like the diffuser too, it’s more subtle than other...

For the night location, the car was mostly just context for the model, so he didn’t take many shots on its own. We did do some light painting at the end, which was super fun I also shot a roll of film, and like 200 pics on my own camera, which I have not even looked at yet. Hopefully some...

First location was a spot in Petaluma, a place where chickens and cows probably outnumber people. The hills are usually super green in the spring from any rain we got in the winter. I’ve been wanting to take pics at this particular spot for a while. There was a BaT listing (that I am now unable...

I sent a couple of the pics to my dad (who is a hot rod guy), his only response was “it looks funny with the headlights up” ha If you can see some of his other work, do it! This guy shoots a bunch of local events so I knew he’d do a good job

Last weekend I did a photo shoot with https://www.instagram.com/bon.komera. He reached out with a few ideas he had for the car plus a model (girl, not tiny car). The model thing wasn’t really my cup of tea, but I figured he probably would get some good shots of the car solo, and I could bring a...

6 rib Grooved Idler pulley for CT supercharger

Also FWIW, you have a whipple 1600 blower (same as I do). It was in the early comptech / CT kits. Mines 5 rib though, wish it were 6! Belt slip is real

6 rib Grooved Idler pulley for CT supercharger

Do you have an old grooved pulley, and just need a new one, or are you looking for a missing part? If you have a reference part, you can send it to ZPE / griptec (https://www.zpegriptec.com/) and have them make you a new one. I think even if you don’t have a part and can figure out the diameter...

Totally reasonable position! I really do want to get there, but it still needs some tweaking before I can forget about it Also, for me, this endless tinkering is part of the fun (“type 2” fun sometimes, let’s be honest). And understanding what’s going on makes me feel in control, I guess. It...

Great to hear! I'm glad all the detail is interesting Yep exactly, if it's already correcting, might as well just use those numbers! Cool that TunerPro does this too. An average of the entire log per cell is what my thing does too, there are a bunch of tweaks like how much weight a sample needs...

ECU stuff It’s been a bit. Life has been busy, the weather has been rainy & cold, and I’ve been spending a little time with another hobby, so I haven’t had a ton of time for the car. I do have several hours driving on the Link ECU, though, between initial adjustment passes and drives on the...

Help diagnosing a voltage drop under high loads

Following up on this for posterity. The car has a number of new parts in the ECU / injector circuit: A new Link ECU New ID1050x injectors, they’re are slightly higher impedance than the RCs A new Bosch 90amp alternator (old was 80amp denso) Brand new, not-spliced ignition switch TL;DR: the...

    Steering / tire "clunk? "

My money’s on the steering rack. Not sure if you have a manual or power steering rack in a later targa, but on the manual racks, the clunk is a worn bushing on the passenger side of the rack. NSX rack repair can fix either type of rack and make it better than new. There also is a “knock...
