What's the safest method for a seller to receive payment these days?

I hear of all these scams or tricks a buyer plays with Paypal, etc..
If I was selling something to someone online, what's the safest transaction in order to receive the funds?

PayPal Friends & Family cannot be disputed by the sender

But if it's a big ticket item like the actual car, I would take a deposit as friends and family on Paypal and the rest needs to be wire directly to my account, verify fund exist and cannot be reverse for whatever reason, then car and title be release. This would be in my case since my car title is clear and free of any lean.
