We
started out by gassing up for the drive ahead. Alex Farrington (GA) led us
to a convenient gas station no more than two or three states away. My car on the
left, Brian Ledvora's (FL) on the right.
Getting
ready for the drive back at the hotel.
This
R1 and a few other bikes were not as patient as we were with some slow
traffic ahead. They passes us and then made a few somewhat dangerous
passes to get ahead of the cars we were stuck behind. The guy on the R1
probably thought he looked cool, but his right turn signal was on the
entire time we saw him.
A
stop along the drive. We took a slightly different route than the official
maps suggested but had a great drive and made up a little time (we were
running late after spending half an hour getting gas).
Another
angle in the parking lot.
Cruising
through the back roads. I really need to get a SmarTenna for this new
car!!
Removing
nose masks before the professional photographer takes the car/owner photo

The
pond!

we had lunch.

Nice
parking spot..
View
of the pond from the beach house. The bridge way in the background is
where the professional photographer was set up.
Bill
& Dianne Zachar's (AZ) gorgeous Sebring Silver with the roof painted
body color.
Unfortunately
one car spun and went nose-first into a pretty major ditch. Luckily the
owner was not injured and the car was in surprisingly good shape
considering the ditch it went into. He was able to drive it back to the
hotel.
Typical
stretch of road along the mountain drive.
Tight
turn!
A
long line of NSXs heading back to the hotel.
A
couple guys got a talking-to for doing minor burnouts when we were stuck in
traffic.
We
pulled into an elementary school to wait for the guys who had the run-in
with law enforcement.
Alex
Farrington (GA) explains how to apex the slide properly to Bruce McPherson
(CO) and Brian Ledvora (FL)
Now
that is a heavily populated communications tower!
Horses
everywhere.
Horse-drawn
buggy with lots of negative camber on the wheels...
Some
guy running amok on a horse in the middle of a busy road.
Back
at the hotel people immediately lined up to start washing their cars.
Black
with yellow highlights found in the parking lot.
Dale
Ramsperger's (AZ) car. Very unique look.
He
fabricated the wing addition himself.
Ready
for flight...
Gary
Milgrom (GA) turned his CRX into an NSX... sort of.
Parking

Cocktail
reception at Cameron City Club.
Below are a bunch of table photos from the dinner. I know I missed a lot
of people who weren't at their table when I walked by. There are far too many
people for me to name so I'll just post all the photos in a group without
comments.
That's
the last of the dinner table photos for tonight!
Ken
Sax (IL) is interrogated in his murder-by-email of Stephen King in Hawaii
by a couple members of the Laughing Matters improvisational comedy troupe
who provided the after-dinner entertainment.
This
is my old red 1991 NSX. Steve Glover (VA) who bought it from me is here at
NSXPO. Kind of cool...
