I
met with two other NSX owners for a caravan down the Blue Ridge Parkway to
NSXPO. The weather was perfect and traffic was relatively light. The
scenery along the Parkway is fantastic. |
|
The
fall foliage was at it's peak along much of the Parkway.

This
is also the "debut" of my new '98 Blue/Black NSX-T. It is fully
Comptech modified (supercharger, headers, exhaust, 13" brake kit,
Simmons wheels, Pro suspension kit, oil pump, non-compliance toe links, etc.) and I am really enjoying
it!

Overlooking
a lake along the parkway.

We
were around 5,400 ft. at the overlook. The top of the mountain has a trail
so you can hike up there easily. This area is near Mt. Mitchell which is
the highest point east of the Mississippi River.

A
late dinner at the hotel with the Southwest caravan folks. From left to
right: Steve Riter (CA, cut off), Larry Bastanza (PA?,back), Dianne
and Bill Zachar (AZ, seated), Dave Goward (CA, red shirt), Mark
Johnson (CA), Alex Vizcarra (CA), a lady I do not know, John Foster (TX)
in the foreground, the back of two heads (Jane Basch (AZ) on the right?),
our waiter Ali (GA, yellow shirt).

Steve
Riter (CA) grabs for some of the money Bill Zachar (AZ) is using to buy
votes for Vice President of the NSXCA.
(just kidding!) |

Some
modified cars in front of the hotel lobby.

Another
angle of the front of the hotel.

Miled
Salheb (NY) flew all the way to NSXPO to help people wash their cars. What a great
guy!
|
| This
year's memento is a big woven throw rug/blanket/?. I'm not sure exactly what it's
called but it's pretty neat. It's also pretty big - that's a full size bed
in my hotel room it's covering.
