May 2001 DC Area Meet at Dulles Town CenterReport and photos by Roy Ebert: "Following a posting on NSX Prime, several owners in the Washington D.C. area met on Saturday, May 12th. We met at the Dulles Town Center, a new mall about 20 miles from DC. I didn't know how many cars would show based on the posted responses, and there was a chance for rain showers. 10 NSX cars showed up and one owner drove his Integra because his NSX was in the shop for maintenance and suspension modifications. It was a very nice turnout and a nice variety of modifications on hand. I rarely see other NSX on the road, and never when I am driving mine. It was a real pleasure to talk to others about their modifications and see how they looked and how they SOUND! There were cars with; twin turbos, mesh engine bay covers and grills, custom stereo and dash installation, variety of aftermarket wheels, NOS, painted calipers, and several with RM exhaust. The sights and sounds were intoxicating for those of us trying to learn first hand about what we like and what we don’t for our car. It was a real pleasure meeting and talking with the other owners and fellow NSX enthusiasts and I look forward to our next get together. A drive was planned, but due to prior commitments I was not able to stay and cannot report on a planned drive through the historic Northern Virginia countryside." |
