Track map for the configuration run during NSXPO. The track map doesn't show all the WALLS. Lots of concrete and tire walls. Decent elevation. This is a technical track that rewards braking and handling over sheer horsepower.

This bird was sitting on a fence along one of the access roads around the track as I was driving around taking pictures.
Comptech had their supercharged Acura CL on display. They were nice enough to let me take it for a test drive. Nice power boost, and the big brake kit is outstanding.
Unfortunately one car was destroyed, but thankfully nobody was injured.

Fortunately there were no other accidents on the track this weekend, which is really surprising considering that there are a lot more turns with walls than run-off room.

Help These Pictures Find Their Proper Home!

If you can ID any of these cars, please let me know the car # or driver name so I can move them to the correct location in the individual car photo section. Several of them are different shots of the same car, so just a few IDs would help a lot.

Back to the hotel for dinner.....

After dinner we had a raffle.

Maria was drawing the tickets out of a bag.

Gee, Maria's husband wins...

Wow, Maria's husband wins again!

One particular table was unusually lucky as well. They claim they just bought more tickets, but all of us sore losers knew they were cheating somehow.

Accusations of a rigged raffle run rampant. Claims of innocence are made.
The bag is thoroughly stirred and random audience members are invited to draw the winning tickets.

Suddenly other people start to win! Ken Gladden headed up to claim a raffle prize.

Mamoru Ogose of Gruppe M from Japan spoke briefly after dinner.
Joe Honda, photographer of Ayrton Senna, attended from Japan and gave some remarks after dinner. Some of his Senna photographs were on display throughout the week.
Chris, Steve, Miled
Barney won something, but I forget exactly what because I was hypnotized by his crazy shirt.
Steve won the NSX hat of his dreams!
