March 2000 Picture of the Month
Gordon G. Miller, III's 2000 NSX-T 6-speed #0051"The photo was taken on 03/24/2000 in front of The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia. The photo op was at the midpoint of a 3 hour long, 180 mile workout for my brand new Y2K NSX that was recently purchased at Brookfield Acura on 03/17/2000. The 827 mile drive home from Wisconsin couldn't compare to the 180 mile round trip drive to the Greenbrier out Harding Avenue from Blacksburg to Route 311 and back up Route 42 to Route 460. The average posted safe speed for more than 90 of the 180 miles is only 25mph - 35mph. The trip got so boring at times that I could set the cruise control on 75 and still take the curves at full speed without even thinking twice about it. In many cases, the only way to really appreciate the NSX was to try the curves at three times the posted safe speed. A similar trip was taken and photo op shot back in 1972 when my father drove his then new prototype Lamborghini Miura P400SV the same route and took the same shot. Like father like son. My son is now 3 months old. I can only imagine that yet another shot will be taken in 2028 by my son. Who knows what he will be driving then, but one thing for sure... it will be AWESOME!"
