October 2001 Picture of the Month

David Brophy's stock '95 NSX-T (UK version), 22,500 miles (at the start of trip - nearly 25k at the end!)

"The picture was taken somewhere along the Costa Brava (27/5/2001). I had only bought the car a couple of weeks earlier, and decided to drive from my home in Southampton, UK to Barcelona, Spain for a long weekend. The drive was faultless, we topped 160mph in France, and got pulled at 130mph by the French police (250 pound fine - ouch!). We drove down through the country, and back via the coast roads of the Costa Brava. Fantastic scenery and twisty coast roads - it was a white-knuckle ride for my passenger. High point of the trip must be bumping into a couple of guys that were driving the spare Jordan Honda Formula 1 car to Monaco for the Grand Prix that weekend. They had it in the back of an unmarked van, and let us have a quick look! Spent far too much on petrol etc, but had a great time. 2,300 miles (gulp!) were driven in all."
