Submitting a photograph for Picture Of The Month

Criteria:

1. The picture must feature an NSX or be of substantial interest to NSX owners
2. The photograph must be good. No poorly lit or out-of-focus snapshots please. Composition, lighting, color, background and focus are all important.
3. The image file must be at least 800x600 pixels in resolution (not resized from a smaller picture). Higher resolution is preferred. If you only have prints and no way to scan them, e-mail me and I can scan the picture for you and return it.
4. Please submit image files saved as a high-quality (low compression) JPEG format. If you need to use another file format, please e-mail me to discuss first.

Hints:

1. Side view or 3/4 views of the car usually look the best, but with the right technique many other angles can produce great results.
2. Pictures taken early or late on a sunny day usually look better than overcast skies or with the sun directly overhead, though with proper technique those situations can work.
3. Unique pictures not available anywhere else are strongly preferred over pictures already posted somewhere else on the Internet.

 Notes:

1. All submissions become the property of NSX Prime and it's administrator.
2. I receive far more entries than there are months in the year, so I only use the best ones. See the Hints and Criteria above for what makes a good POTM.
3. POTMs are generally posted in roughly the order received, so if several people submitted POTMs before yours, it may take a few months to get to yours even if it is really good. Please be patient! The sooner you submit one, the sooner it can be used.

How To Submit A Photo:

If you are not already a Forum member, you must register. Then log in, go to the POTM Submissions section of the photo gallery and upload your photo. Please include the following information in the description field:

1. Your first and last name
2. Your state, province or locality (and country if outside the US or Canada)
3. Details about the car such as year, model, color combination and modifications
4. A description or brief story about the picture
5. If your are a photo buff, you are welcome to include equipment and exposure details (this is optional!)

Due to the number of submissions received, I do not reply to POTM submissions, but please be assured I do receive and review them all. If your submission is declined as POTM for any reason, it will be moved to your Member Gallery.

Because I receive several submissions every month, I obviously cannot use them all. However, I do keep them all on file and every month I go through and pick one that strikes my fancy. There is no scientific formula for selecting the pictures - the criteria are mostly subjective, such as how much I like the picture, how long ago it was submitted or how unique it is. I also try to spread out similar themes, colors, owner locations, etc. so there is variation from month to month. Given all that, it may well take a year or more to get to a photo I like. If you submitted a picture a long time ago and I still haven't used it, you are more than welcome to submit a new one.
