I've never seen one on the street, but the more I look at them in the showroom the more I dislike them. The new NSX has lost the "timeless" look. It is trying to blend with what's hot today, the Eclipse, the F360 and Murciélago with fixed lights and big holes in front to let the air in.
I love the pop-up headlights of the old model, I love the proportions of the car with the thin nose and the thin rear. I love it stock, I would never put on a body kit from any aftermarket producer. The car is simply beautiful and perfect the way it is.
Allow me to go on: yeah, yeah, I'm about to rant . . . .
I've lowered and modified more cars than I can think of and I was never satisfied with the results. They didn't handle or feel as nice as the original that was produced by the engineers of the company. Those louder exhausts were nicer for a while but very shortly afterwards, they grew tiresome and annoying. I dislike them very much now.
If you are going to track you car I can understand why you would want to modify it. If you are not, why do it? I know the answer: because it's the "In" thing to do, because it's cool, because you hope to get better performance out of it (sometimes you do), because everyone in your circle will think you are cool for doing it, and because you think - the bottom line - that your car looks better - which is a very valid reason for modifying it..
I'm ready for the flames now. I just had to express my opinion after reading this board for years and thinking why are these guys doing all these thing to these cars. Please tell me, I'll enjoy reading your responses, if any
