SD/OC NSX'ers to Camarillo Autocross

Well for those of you going to the Camarillo Autocross from SD and Orange County how about a group drive up to the event.

I have talked to tbNSX and coolnsx and they are going to join the trip up on Saturday morning. I was thinking we could leave Irvine at 6:30AM. If we leave at 6:30, we should have time to go through Malibu and cut over through Topanga Canyon with enough time to arrive in Camarillo well before the 9AM kick-off.

Any takers?

For those of you who might want to stay over Saturday evening we can all go out for some dinner and recapping of the days events. Of course there will be no alcohol, "table driving" or untruths at that event.

The next day tbNSX proposes a trip home through some great country that sounds pretty cool. He plans to make a post here with the details.

Let's find a good place to meet and make it happen.

Paul, I know that there are at least 5 of us , including you and yellowpad, heading up from Irvine on the 22nd.

Some one from HB and Seal beach are also attending. What we can do is to meet in at Starbucks across the street from Ralph on Culver and Walnut, just south of fwy 5 at 6:30.

We can either take 5 to 101 or 5 to 22 to 405 to 101... or the alternative route that you have suggested as we approach 10 on 405.

Let's find out who is going to join us, then we can take it off line.

So for sure we will LEAVE the Starbucks at the 5 and culver at 6:30, we'll figure out how and where we pick up the rest of the group along the way.

Does 6:30 at Starbucks work for everyone who is coming from Irvine and all points south?

Unless if you are willing to go 210, 605, then 10 to meet us in Santa Monica area, otherwise, 210, 134, 101 is the best way for you to get there. Let me know if you'd like to join us in Santa Monica.

For the rest of you,

If you are located north of Irvine along the 22 and 405 fwy, the way we have been doing it is to get your cell no. or better yet if you have the club radio. Tell us where you are going to get on the fwy and we'll determine an approximate time we'll be driving through there. We either call you, on your phone or radio, a couple of miles ahead. As long as you wait somewhere near the entrance, you can just get on the fwy while we are driving through. With no traffic in the morning, it has worked out quite well in the last as long as you be there on time and we stay on schedule leaving from our meeting place.

Cdube- are you making any planned stops? I think in Santa Monica right?

We won't be stopping, but you can hop on the fwy when we drive through there. That way we don't have to make any stops and still can pick up addional cars on our way. Just private us with your cell number and/or use a club radio if you have one so that we'll notify you a couple of miles before we reach your designated meeting place.

I think Sunny is going to meet at PCH off 10. He has emailed you and Darkcyd his meeting time. You can double check with him on the exact location.

I was thinking about making it up there as a spectator in the middle of the day. I didn't plan on staying overnight, so having a caravan heading south after the event would make the trek easier.

Fury, I am sure there are quite a few people heading down south to OC after the event if you want to caravan down. I would love to see the equips in person, I've been looking at pics of your car for a while
