I was able to test ride the new kit Larry Garcia has developed. It's faster than a Comptech SC equipped NSX as far as my seat of the pants evaluation is concerned. I've owned two SC NSX's in the past. I was a bit surprised bt the lack of turbo lag. Waiting for a set price from Larry though. He told me he will have dyno numbers soon. Is anyone else interested? Maybe we could get a better price for a group buy. Does anyone know how much Dali will be selling his SC kit for? Thanks.

I have often wondered why no one has made a single turbo unit for the NSX. the headers could easily be coupled together under the engine to mount a turbo to. I would definetly be interested in this if it is priced reasonably. unlike the Bell turbo.

I'm expecting 5-6K installed from everything I have heard. It's believable considering you're only paying for parts and labor w/o markup.

Hey, I am in for a group buy to get a cheaper price on just parts. I am curious as to what type of exhaust I should buy. I suppose you want to limit back pressure as much as you ca. So do you want a small diameter or larger diameter? Any opinions on that?

I too live on the east coast but would be intrested into looking towards this kit. For you east coast guys, who would be comptent here to do this kind of work? I am sure there is someone. Wonder if anyone could be recomended by NSX modified. Has anyone called them? This is not anything I would want done w/out someone who felt comfortable. As for backpressure, larger diameter will reduce backpressure, and on a turbo NSX a larger diameter would be benefical.

Wish I could answer those details. Larry did mention it was a T-04 turbo. No intercooler on this kit. He told me it wasn't needed.

From what I understand it is being worked on by Jon Martin and Area 51 Fabrications. (not Dali) The system is being modeled after P.D.'s unit. Last I heard it will run a little less than 8k installed. After cooler included. They estimate that it will put out more hp & torque with even better reliability than the current systems. I'll post more info when it becomes available.

According to a post on the NSX list, a new supercharger setup is going to be introduced at NSXPO 2001 in Wisconsin later this month by Mark Basch, the top independent NSX tech in the country. Assuming this is true, get a few guys to pop for one and Mark himself will be happy to get on an airplane and come install it for you.

One more reason that coming to NSXPO is so much fun...

I heard that there will be a water-to-air intercooler option for Larry's turbo kit coming out. Should be around 5k installed without the intercooler.

COUNT ME IN ON THE EAST COAST INSTALL PARTY. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THE EXPO THIS YEAR. GOT A CHANCE TO RACE THE BIKE IN DAYTONA. PLEASE FOWARD INFO WHEN AVAILABLE.

Thanks for all the replies. Is this the same Area 51 that is associated with Climax Racing? When are the planning to have this kit out by?

I got to ride in George Peniche's Vortech water to air cooled NSX the other day. It was at NSX modified for servicing. I thought Larry's turbo was fast but this thing is even faster on the low end in my opinion. Larry said he and George are going to sell this kit for $6,000 (no intercooler) and $10,000 respectively for the same setup as on George's car. I have driven/rode every type of forced induction NSX out there and this one impressed me the most next to Doug Hayashi's Flame Mobile. The car is only boosting up 6 lbs. It feels more like 9. That large water to air cooler must be a big part of it.
