Hey guys....i took a look at the '91 black nsx w/ 90k on it...This car is in the worst condition i have seen. Paint was peeling on the hood, bumper, and driver side headlight. Actually headlight was totally peeled. Then the owner tried to do a roll back on the odometer. It reads like 98k on it and you can see the 0 infront all scratched up. The car read 130k on 2/01 in the carfax review. Just becareful guys!

nah i haven't checked it out...its kind of out of my price range... i'm looking for cars in the low 20s...its a challenge but its out there.

I called the number in the chronicle before I read this post, and the woman who answered told me the car belonged to her boyfriend who left the country (hmmm). I asked her if the car was in any accidents, she changed the subject without answering the question (hmmm). She said the add was wrong and that the mileage was 98k miles and not 90k(hmmm). She also said the add was incorrect when it said the car had a new interior (hmmm). I asked her if she could give me the VIN so I could run a CarFax, she said to call back after 6pm (hmmm). BE CAREFUL.

Tobal, are you really finding cars in the low 20's? My take on the '91-'92 market right now is roughly:

Price Miles
------------
$35k+ 0 to 40,000
$30k 50,000 to 85,000
$25k 100,000+ and/or questionable condition.

I see the $20-$25k cars advertised, but most looked suspicious for some reason or another. I just wish the price on the clean cars would drop, but if anything they seem to be firming up.

Hi Sam,

Welcome. You may want to check out the FAQs in the links across the top to see some great buying tips.

As for "good" in your price range - that depends on what you call good. At the top of your price range I would think you could find a clean, higher mile (75k+) NSX that has few if any issues and is relatively clean and well maintained with a very good history. If you are willing to sacrifice on some things to get others - color or repairs to get lower miles - you can do it.

Seriously - between the search button on the forums and the FAQs there are literally books on the best way to shop, inspect, and buy an NSX.

Good luck / welcome.

Hey raoul, thanks for the look out, but yea i am actually at that budget right now. My friend actually got on a year ago w/ only 90k on it for low 20s and it is actually in pretty good conditoin, no problem till today. Seems like they are out there although people do list them higher than their selling points. So it seems like i will find the right one, just a matter of time.

Can someone in the bay area PLEASE swing by to take a look at the 1994 posted above if it's still available?! It seems like a good deal at $35k.
Thank you if you do so.
