Black NSX outside Frankfurt. Need German owners help!

That is an 1992, and will very likely be in snapringrange.

Mine is JHMNA11500T100266, and my snapring went the other week.

If you understand all about the snapringrange, and youre not a backyarder, go for a true 1993, or find a good 1991.
Trany repairs in the US are about 1/2 the price they are here, so take that in calculation.
Check the tranny number to be sure.

Hi there

im checking mobile.de like 5 times a day for nsxs

i think something fishy is going on

red nsx 92 with red top 89000 kms + big service (timing belt)

it seems like noone wants this car....the last month the car has dissapeard and shown up like 3-4 times...and with different owners everytime...different pictures

ppl might say that its not the same car..but im pretty sure its the same car

why?

the car is always a red 92 with red top, stock wheels, and a red gearstick (check the interior pic) and the owner always points out that the big service has been done (timing belt)

and the price rose to!

first time..i think the price was 23000 euros...(88000 kms on the clock) then 2nd time about 24000 euros...and now 26000 euros...(89000 kms on the clock)

i just find this very weird

has anyone else been noticing this?

Hallo,
Im near Kaiserslautern (130 km to Frankfurt)
and Ive seen that car too.(mobile.de)
For selling my parts (steering hub, Carbon Air induct etc.)Im on this page nearly each day..
Please be careful...
If you have the intension to buy this car,
come into my garage and we will check the car right....My friend is a Honda dealer..
He also owns an NSX....

We can find it out, if something is prong with the car... make a test drive...

Best wishes
Detlef

I have noticed the red one too. Don't want that one for sure. I check mobile many times a day too.

I would love to come see the black one and test drive it myself, but I'm in Norway. I will have someone (friends in Frankfurt) look at it this week, and if you would email me an addres I can have them take it to your friends Honda shop. That would be great.

I have emailed the owner and have a copy of the brief and it says 10/93 on the "Zuesung (??)" field. The owner does not appear to be car litterate.

If anyone personally knows of sellers, please contact me. I don't want to buy a shitty car. (like anyone does). My main reason for the 93 was the out of snap ring failure and the price.

Also this one showed up today :"EUR 33.900, VB
D-73614, EZ: 03/96, 73.000 km, 201 kW, rot, TÜV 08/04, Honda NSX, Rot, Leder schw. Klimaaut...." damn, that's cheap for a 96!!

That VIN is absolutely a 1992, this means it is manufactured in 1992. Probably sold and put on registration in 1993. Same as on my German NSX.

Get the seller to send you the tranny number, so you can check if it is in snapringrange.

Mich: How much did the short gear cost you?
I'm thinking if the ring fails, I could invest in short gears and it would all be a good thing.

I will get the transmission number, but the owner is really not a car litterate. I'm not sure how to and tell him where to look for the number.

Read the faq for more info on where the tranny number is.

Short gears:
- approx. 1000 USD
- add some shipping
- add import fees and taxes

If done ewhen the snapring is broken, or needs a new tranny housing because it is in range:
- housing new from the USA (cheaper) approx. 625 USD, including all needed other stuff.
- Hondabond approx. 45 euro
- again import taxes and shipping aso.

Or no labor if youre a backyarder.

Do consider lightweight flywheel and new clutch while youre at it....
