Has anyone run their BBSC at the drag strip yet? They have been out for awhile now and I was wondering what they ran. Thanks

On good authority:

1991 NSX, Headers, exhaust, no cats, cold air intake. BBSC at 6psi, no aftercooler:

1/4 mi at 13.3 sec (corrected)
Trap 108 mph (corrected)
60' time 2.01 (not great)

For what it's worth, mostly stock '02 Z06 (406 crank HP.. but 380? torque) was running about .2 secs slower and 3mph slower trap.

Was this done at elevation? That seems quite slow for the given mods and very slow for the ZO6. A properly driven stock 97+ is quicker.
Was this your car?

Thats actually a very slow 1/4 for an SC NSX. Bone stock on Nitto's I've run 13.45 with 1.85 60'. Though my trap was 4 mph slower.

For the HP the cars make on the dyno they should be much faster without the effort of a real hard launch.

And for reference, the guy driving the z06 needs some instruction. That car will run 12's all day long with no stress at all.

I have only run mine once with the BBSC and I was at idle when christmas tree when green and I still only pulled a 13.4 @ around 110 mph. Totally stock car on street tires.

Mr. Baily,

By chance, do you still have your timeslip? I think one was posted here not long ago, but I cannot recall who it was or what the mods on the car were. 92NSX, do you still have yours? It must have been recent. Thanks.

Ive broken into the 12's without it.Best time without 12.80 @ 109.Best time with the BBSC coming soon....

Joe,
What track do you run your car at in the 1/4? I've been wanting to run my car and could probably come up with one or two more NSXs to do a group outing. Let me know if you'd be interested,
Scott

I ran that quarter at Bradenton Motorsports Park but have been doing all my practicing at the 1/8th mile track here in Lakeland.ET's are all about the short time so I figure that if I improve my 1/8th mile, the 1/4 will follow.Im game to meet up anytime with you guys, just let me know when.

Wow Joe - breaking into the 12's pre BBSC is an awesome feat! The brand new NSX-R professionaly driven can do it in 12.5 so high 12's is possible with some mods but mostly with a fantastic driver.

Nice work.
