We just got back from the NHRA in Sonoma and had the opportunity to break away from our teams to run in the E.T. class. Unfortunately, we did not run with the 100 shot, since one of the race teams borrowed it to qualify.

Here are some of the results.

93 NSX Factor X Upgraded CTSC .776, 2.224, 12.729, 118.81mph

93 NSX Factor X Upgraded CTSC with/75shot .634, 2.090, 12.177, 123.92mph

The CTSC NSX is running 6lbs of boost,Factor X fuel system, & upgraded 440cc injectors. The 60's would be better but, we experienced traction problems since we were running on OEM tires/wheels.

Very impressive. What is the weight of the car and the gearing?

Thank you for the compliment, maybe at the next event we will be able to run with the 100 shot. It is a 93 NSX full street trim with a 200lbs. pineapple driving. 205lbs. after lunch.

Have you guys put this up on the dyno yet!?! Very impressive times and I bet a lot of CompTech owners would be waiting at your doors to tune their cars if they new what you were putting down vs. their local Acura dealer's tuning.

Some of us CTSC folks are running better RWHP, though in all fairness, we're running more boost and in my case more displacement (Chromatose was running more RWHP in a 3.0L w/high boost.).

About half a year ago, I recall this setup was putting down 340RWHP at 6lbs of boost. However, this was detuned to a degree to allow for the NOS. It could push over 340RWHP if tuned for CTSC alone. With the 70 shot, I do recall it was putting down over 330ft/lbs arpund 3K RPMS. They mentioned this in another thread somewhere, but I'm too lazy to find it.

I think they're running around 355 RWHP with just the hair dryer at 6-psi (nominal) boost, so it's tuned pretty well.

VERY frustrating to hear these numbers! I'm running the UPGRADED(9"ish"PSI) CTSC w/CT I/H/E and getting 345 rwhp and 251 lb torque. (See dyno)

How are you getting more hp w/the 6lb setup? I know there are many variables but care to share?

355rwhp w/6lbs of boost on 3.0 liters.
We are a bit reluctant to go with the 9lb kit. In our opinion, the 9lb upgrade is past that particular compressor’s efficiency resulting in chopped air and higher intake temps. The A/Fs on the 9lb kits that we have tuned varies from that of the 6lb kit due to these reasons. More boost does not always equate to more power.

I think the tuned 3.0L 6lb kit of that NSX is not your standard 6 lb CTSC. They have a socketed ECU and have fully tuned the setup on their dyno. There is no way a stock 6lb kit with no tuning would put down that power. I also think the car has headers and exhaust.

If I had a 6lb CTSC, I would be over there in a heartbeat.

Factor X,

I am not a CompTech super owner but was wondering -

How much is your tuning success with this kit is your extra parts vs. your tuning changes to the stock kit?

Do you sell all the extra "bits" and parts to produce the power with the 6 lb kit?

Can anyone else duplicate your tuning with the bits or do people HAVE to bring the car to you to achieve this results?

Please be patient w/me here. I'm learning...
So are you saying that the A/F should be richer or leaner than the 6lb?

Also, anybody planning to come out to Beantown in the near future?

While I can't justify the $$$ at this point to ship my car out to CA, it appears one of it's "nostrils" is plugged up.....
