Lease returns

Anyone have experience when they returned their NSX at the end of a lease or tried to get out of the lease into another?

Whats the wear and tear penalties people have to paid. Even with extreme care, can't help but get dings, scratches, worn seats etc.

Thanks

Normal wear and tear is fine. I know with Mercedes, they actually provide you with a plastic card almost the same size as a credit card for self assessment. If the scratch, dent, ding, chip, etc. can be covered by the size of the card, there is no charge. Anything that can not be hidden by the size of the card is considered excessive and you'll either have to fix it yourself before lease turn in or they will charge you for repair.

GOOD QUESTION!

As the NSX is more susceptible to getting NICKS on the front end-I was wondering what the consequences might be

When I signed my lease last month, they explained to me that there was an allowance for normal wear and tear, and they'd allow up to $1,500 of chips, dings, etc. as normal ( it's in the HMC lease). So, if it's not excessive, you should be okay

I just did the 03 lease incentive with a $57k residual. If my financial situation is still solid in 3 years (never can tell these days), I'll definitely buy...

What was your total out of pocket and monthly payments? And which dealership did u use? thanks.

The lease deal is $799/month plus taxes, $84k cap cost, no cap reduction needed and first/security due at signing. It is a Honda sponsored deal, so it should be available at any good Acura dealer. The incentive is over at the end of April and applies to new 03s only.

Personally, I went to Acura of Ocean in NJ, BUT I wouldn't consider my experience 100% satisfying.

I don't live too far from there. I am surprised they got one from honda...I don't recall that dealer having any in the past.

I thought about that great lease offer, unfortunately, the monthly car payments almost equals what I would have to pay on monthly insurance.

How does it drive compare to the older model (97-01)?

The ride quality and overall grip feel improved to me compared to my 98. The differences are definitely subtle, however, and many drivers might not notice.

The actual changes are 17s up front, wider rears and a thicker rear stablizer bar.

when i bought my 91 16months ago, the lease i used had a residual of 10k$. I thought that was a pretty good deal, considering my lease terms are also good. (500$ turn in also)

i was gonna buy, but the lease option was too attractive.

Words can't describe how awesome the HID's are... Definitely a massive improvement there.
