ABS warning light comes on

I have a 93 NSX with 150k miles. I had recently acquired the car and drive it once to twice a week.

When I start the car and drive it, the ABS warning light comes on anywhere between 1 minute to 5 minutes after it starts up. I've tried searching on the forum for this, but could not find anything on this topic yet.

Right before this started happening, I was removing a Uniden remote mount radar detector that the previous owner had installed. When I was removing the detector power cable from the battery's red terminal, there was a spark between the wrench and the aluminum-pipe-looking component above the driver's side of the battery.

Anybody here had experience, or knows what may be broken? The car was fine before this. I have not tried to engage the ABS since, but should I?

Thanks in advance for any inputs!

My guess is that the abs pump is not presurizing the acumulator. Either because one of your abs valves are stuck or the pump in not running. Because you mentioned you shorted the pos. battery to what I think was the guard for the abs valve assy. you may have blown a fuse.

Follow this link to check fuses and if necessary unstick a valve.

I have done the flushing valve unsticking on my car. Even if you don't have a stuck valve it would'nt hurt to do it anyways.

Thanks, Brian!

I have checked the fuses before, but have not checked the "Motor Relay" blackbox. I will try replacing that with a new one, and also flushing the system on a rainy day.

Hopefully, this would fix it!
