Aight, people. Let's gather up your ideas.

I've read a few good ones on other threads, let's see how creative we can get. I'd love to start off but I just can't think of a good one ATM.

1. The Zymol specifically designed for the NSX is in fact...inferior to the Turtle Wax you buy at Wal Mart. This is a fact and it will not be disputed. I will have no words to the contrary!

2. The OEM Yokohamas are not really that good anymore. Recently designed tires are actually much better than the Yokohamas that were designed for this car. I think Nitto has a tire out that will be better for the NSX on the track. I have no evidence to back up my claims...but it is a fact.

3. The actual patch a tire makes on the surface of the ground has nothing to do with tire pressure. These are physics that I understand and everyone else is wrong.

How is that? :D

We need to draw this sniper out of the bush!

I don't see him as logged in right now. I bet he is out there though. I can feel him. :D

How about the fact that the NSX really needs to be modded in order to keep up with other exotics like the 996, 360, and Viper.
Also, there is really no reason to change the timing belt if it doesn't look worn.

ROFL :D

I've just done a few sets of sit-ups (and the last time I've done it was months ago), my abs are hurting already and reading this post + watching "Coming to America" does NOT help!!

I'm not a masochist but please keep'em coming. I can deal with the pain, don't have to go easy on me :D

Okay, I've thought of a couple (+1 more after edit):

1) The OEM wheel sizes doesn't offer the best performance, 21/22* is the way to go. No, they don't rub at all. It makes parallel parking even easier.

2) The OEM brakes and brake pads are crap, Brembo is the best. They can fit even with OEM 15/16 rims, no spacers needed, really.

3) Private mail-bomb him.

* Tire sizes are so not limited. Pirelli's P-Zero Phucko casually offers the following sizes for the casual NSX 21x12/22x14 wheels setup, 345/5R21 and 405/0R22. Prices are just $20 less than OEM Yokos and they are, unfortunately, asymetrical.

I thought I would just let you know that spacers are very good for your car. The NSX does not look good unless those wheels have very aggressive spacers so that the wheels stick out far enough to accomodate the Wide Body kit. The NSX needs said kit because it updates the outdated NSX looks and it has been proven with first hand, empirical evidence to lower track times. Apparently the added weight of the wide body kit pushes down on the rear tires providing your NSX with more traction to the rear.

It is not my fault you people don't know nuthin about no physics! :D

*wipes a tear from eye* Some of these are so funny.... oh man... he has to take the bait...

How about:

* $50 for a correct answer ken... the NSX has how many wheels? j/k

* Stickers DO increase horsepower.

* Lowering your NSX will improve aerodynamics.

* The '97 NSX does 0-60 in 5.1secs...

* I was reading one of Ken's replies... His figures were definitely wrong (but he'll have to ask me which thread i'm talking about! ;) )

  • For non-OEM rims, it's best to run different brand tires front vs. back. Need proof? Just ask any NSX owner from all the events I've attended and "you will see will have differnt brand tires front and back, due to the limited amount of same brand tires size." Need more proof? "refer to the facs sheets on prime" (* - I hope I don't go to hell for this one :D )
  • Body-colored roof looks better than black. Period. End of discussion.
  • OEM wing sucks. New Type-R wing makes the NSX look 10x better.
  • I know more than Honda engineers.

this is one i have experience with.....

how about we make a brake kit that only fits 18 (front) and 19 (rear) inch wheels?? ...designed especially for track cars.
:D

Amateurs... :p

Here's a tip from me to you. I just had my tires rotated, and the NSX runs sooooo much better with the 17's on the front and 16's on the back! It's also the secret to getting 30k miles on OEM rubber. I highly recommend everyone do this (the "unidirectional" crap in the owner's manual is just a load of dung, and can be safely ignored -- Honda just wants the tires to be replaced as much as possible so they can get a kickback from Bridgestone/Yokohama).

:D

I do not know why... but I was thinking at these important topics today: ;)

- aren't cats A LOT better than dogs? my cat named ZAINO is alot better than any dog around.

- ...and aren't Beardies the ugliest dogs around?

Whoa...gheba, you are the undisputed master!

Alright, people. Let's gather up your ideas.

Surely to get a reply from nsxtasy is to post something along the lines that although he has a lot of track time, he is still a slow driver. :p

Is it possible its because he insists on keeping his car STOCK ???
:D

I think its the air-drag from the boat-anchor 91-93 oval-tip "Battlestar Galactica style" exhaust. ;)

OR... is it the sheepskin seat covers ??? :D

Also, and since timing belts NEVER break, adherence to factory-recommended preventative maintenance is just plain silly  :D

Maybe he has dementia and forgot about us. Heck, for all we know he could have gone out and bought a Z06 for less money and better 1/4 mile times.

How is life on the dark side nsxtasy?

ROFL..ROFL... so many funny suggestions; i'm surprised he hasn't taken the bait.

...or maybe he's so ticked off now that he's left prime for good to join a ferrari forum. :( And we all thought his new 360 was an April Fools joke?

Post Bait-

Let's try some candy...

Heloooo? Does anyone know what a snap ring is? Also, someone please explain to me why anyone would buy an NSX when you could have a Neon SRT4 for so much less??

(goes to hide in bushes)

Reason to get a Viper over an NSX:

Viper's lightweight fiberglass body weighs it at a fraction of NSX's thick steel construction

Viper seat quality ranks up there with Volvo, especially great on those long trips, NSX offers a poor seating position

Viper gets great mileage, wheras the archaic SOHC, 2 valve per cyclinder, carbeurated NSX manages mere single digit highway MPG

No blind spots in a Viper, poor visibility out of an NSX (personally, I think it sits too high)

BEWARE of early model used NSX's (91-94) as they are currently experiencing rapid depreciation due to their poor reliability beyond 100K and strong tendency to rust

:D

Are catalysators useful? I want to remove mine since a member of the Acura management told me that to respect the japanese gentleman agreement of 280ps they added cats. Removing them adds about 70ps (conservatively!).

Furthermore the environment is so huge that it will have no influence at all!

Senna had his removed on his personal NSX and in a interview that my cousin (2300ps at the wheels on his Yugo) saw on TV revealed this. Should I go for it? :D

Well, I just heard through a very reliable source, that Acura is definitely discontinuing the NSX line up.

This source cited many inside people at Honda that stated the new Vettes had finally pushed them into the very difficult decision of killing the NSX before it got too embarassing.

Oh well, the NSX never really belonged with the Vette anyway, it's just a street poseur car that want's to be a track star.

Needless to say, this was disappointing, since the same guy told me how Zymol would ruin the paint on my NSX, and that there was some sort of memo from Honda about how they really recommend Zaino for all NSX models.

Oh well, luckily I have have a new EVO on order and my WRXSTIABCEDFG was just delivered yesterday ;)

I think we should get a fund together to help nsxtasy mod his car....just to show appreciation for all his contributions to Prime. What do you say guys? Maybe we could start simple. Perhaps a Lambo door conversion and some meaty wheel spacers?

Changes like this would surely increase the cars value, even more so when you consider Jonathan's news of the NSX discontinuation.
