Has anyone gone to Don (at Hilltop) to get shocks replaced?

I've heard different price quotes so I wanted to see what other people got.

I've heard 240 and also 310... 240 sounds reasonable but 310 is a bit much in my opinion.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I have...

Don did a good job and replaced my OEM shocks with bilsteins on the lower perch. I don't remember what he charged, I think it was somewhere between 200-300. His shocks guy only comes in a few days during the week, so you'll need to coordinate.

If you lower your car, you will need to get it realigned. I DO NOT recommend using Don for alignment however. I had him do two and both were unsatisfactory, YMMV. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car into Don's for all types of troubleshooting or maintenance... but I personally will no longer have him do my alignments.

I've had great success with Custom Alignment in Mountain View. Those guys really know how to align cars. They have a website you can google. However, custom alignment is quite expensive; a 4 wheel alignment will run you nearly 200 dollars.
