Hi everyone. I'm new to this NSX forum. I have always loved the look of the NSX. I've seen very few of them in my life, but when I see them, I never fail to be amazed at their beauty. I hope to go to law school in two years when I graduate Penn State University to someday hopefully be able to afford one of these awesome cars! I currently drive a mid engine, rear wheel drive car also ... a Toyota MR2 ...

Not close to the NSX prestige, but a fun car nonetheless that gets plenty of attention from many people.

Anyway, I have browsed various NSXs on ebay, and I noticed that all of them have a console plastic molding that wouldn't allow for an aftermarket headunit to fit. How did you guys with aftermarket headunits get them to fit in the NSX? How is the factory speaker setup? I also have two 8" subs behind both seats in my MR2 in sub boxes that don't take up any room from the seats. How much room is behind the NSX seats?

First, most of us ended up buying an aftermarket FRP piece like this on from Science of Speed

This piece allows you to position the aftermarket radio anywhere whithin the double DIN space. You do have to paint and cut out the sections though. Eventually you end up with something similar to this.
