Climate control unit Failure?

Hello,

I tried to use the AC/Heater today and found that nothing work, no light, no display (climate control display), no fan, etc.

I checked the two appropriate fuses and they are o.k. Before taking the console apart and taking a more in-depth look, is there anything obvious that I might miss?

ps: How likely that the failure is in the climate control unit? How much is this unit? Thanks again.

"climate failure" I just searched under Technical and Do-it yourself. Some great step by step posts and repair shops / options the make this site so awesome.

Some people reported fixing this from $50-$100 and doing the labor themselves. I think my problem is battery related but I am investigating as well.
