Hello,

I am about to buy superleggeras for my 98 and had a question, hopefully someone can help out. I have noticed if you visit Tire Rack they have three choices for this wheel (we are not talking about superleggera IIIs).

Gold - We have all seen these before (mainly on blue Subarus)

Light Grey - I believe every picture of an NSX I have seen on Prime has these "light grey" wheels

Bright Silver - what the heck are these? are they new?, I haven't seen any pictures of these anywhere.

I have a black NSX and now I'm confused as which color to buy, light grey or bright silver. If anyone has a picture of the silver, or more information about this color choice please respond. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
John

I don't personally have the OZ Superleggeras on my car, but my good friend has them on his GS400. At first, I never liked them, but after seeing them in person, I changed my opinion! They look really sweet on his blk car. His wheels are 19 in and came in a dark silver finish with a polished lip. Looks awesome on his blk car, better then I thought it would.
Also, he's gone thru a few sets on Racing Harts and feels they are not strong at all having bent them all. On the other hand, his OZ's go thru a lot of abuse(we usually take his car to downtown 4/5 passangers hitting bumps/pot holes with his stiff TEIN suspension). And yet to have any problems. Strong wheels!
Good Luck
Z

EDIT: didn't see you weren't talking about the superleggerasIII sorry

Ok, here is the summary of Superlagerra's as far as color goes.

Gold:
this is indeed a Subaru only fittment

Anthracite (dark grey):
This was a fittment of the wheels made specifically for the American market. Initially this was supposed to be the only wheel sold in the US (as there were no other colors or 3 piece wheels at that time). Unfortunatly as many of you know availability was sparse and we ended up having many part numbers backordered for extreme lengths of time becuase they were building the bright silver version for everyone else instead of making these. This is now done, as all the one piece wheels will be either gold (Subaru) or bright silver.

Bright silver:
The new frontier! We now have this color in the US. As those of you following this wheel know, availability is great! The wheel looks really nice in this finish as well. All other aspects of the wheel (weight offset, fittments) will stay the same.

The only other confusing factor:
The 3 piece version of the Superlagerra will remain anthracite, and will only be available in this color.

Hope that helps!
Aaron

I am getting a set for my car also, black car silver rims 17by8 18by 9. the one thing about these rims, you want the 48+front 35+ rear for offsets.tire rack sells them with a 55+ offset

BadCarma,

I remembered reading your request for Superleggeras and specifically stating the 35mm for the rear. You are right about Tire Rack offering the 55mm for the rear. That is what they show in their fitment guide, you can however ask for 35mm, that's what I did. What I'm trying to say is thanks to you I doubled checked the offset before just blindly ordering what they had listed....thanks :) I hope the silver looks good, I've never seen a picture of them before.

As a side note I'm sure the reason for Tire Rack showing 55mm in their fitment guide is they are probably trying to come as close to stock fitment as possible, and we all know how the stock rear NSX wheel is tucked so far inside the fender. (I'm just guessing that's the reason)

Anyway, can you believe I ordered them today, and I was told I should have them tomorrow, with standard shipping!! I never thought being so close to Delaware would ever pay off :D

I'll post pictures soon !!
