Cantrell Concepts intake scoop

Anybody have this installed? How do you like it? Are the performance gains noticable and is it worth the price? Also, what is the sound like compared to stock? -- Thanks

I have it on my car but the previous owner installed it. He said it made the intake sound a lot better and deeper than before.

I think I would install it if it were not already on my car.

For what is worth, I have the one that is sold by Dali. It probably makes the engine breath a bit better but probably not by that much. Noticed a bit of a difference at Laguna Seca on the T11 to T2 straight all at the top end.

It makes a whooshy sound that is very noticeable when you drive the car with the driver side window down.

The weird thing is that *before* installing the intake I was meeting the sound limits at Laguna Seca, after installing it I was black flagged for not meeting sound, hehe 8(

Do a search on this, it has been amply covered.

It is the cheapest and easiest way to get that exhaust note without getting a new exhaust ..... whether it is the Cantrell version or the Dali version. People are buying them for the sound and not any purported performance - but the pre 97 model years may benefit in throttle response.

And at one time, we in Sacto were boasting to have the highest number of Cantrell Cocepts air intake system per NSX capita .......
