Since John started a thread about pics, I'll start one about video clips. I'm not asking for edited videos, just clips....since I figure we won't be seeing an edited DVD any time soon.

Valerie recorded both of my spins (WMV 3MB)

Nice video Eric!!! Can't wait for the others. Did you get any in-car shots?

I'll post my videos either tonight or tomorrow night.

You didn't happen to get any video of a blue NSX spinning did you? (I'm talking about the 2002... because we all know an older blue NSX didn't spin... )

:D

I don't know what you are talking about. That must've been my brother.
That's not what he told me!!!

Great video.....great track set-up....kudos to however designed it. At our events the track doesn't have those nice long sweepers, although I think the track came too close to those trees at one point. At one of our events the track came to close to a center island, a guy in an M3 lost it and slid into the curb and rolled his car over. :(:(:(:(:(

OUCH! Do you know if his insurance company covered him on that rollover? An autox is of course... timed... yikes.

This course was well designed. The lightpoles were pretty far away and if it was close, it was at a slow section of the track where if you would spin, you'd still have plenty of space to come to a stop...

... more vids to come... as long as no one makes fun of my driving "skills". :)

His insurance company didn't pay. You know it's strange what you think is a slow section doesn't always mean anything. For example, the section where he rolled was supposed to be a slow section, except he was going way to fast on it (hence the slide). We couldn't even believe he rolled!! It was almost like slow motion, the car went onto it's side and very very slowly onto the roof. At a separate event someone slid into another curb (also M3) and broke his front lower control arm.

That section in your video where the trees were was a right hand sweeping turn, and it looks as though one could smoothly accelerate in second gear through it. I don't know it looked pretty close to me, maybe 10-15 feet or so. It could also just be a illusion from the camera. The important thing is nobody hit them!!! :D:D:D:D:D

I thought that your skills were really amazing!!!

Hmmm...at 17th, should I even bother posting clips of my runs?

Here's my third run of the second session (WMV 3.9MB)

I really wish I had kept steady shot on...the Hama mount (affixed in my favorite position) proved a little too unstable for autox....
