New NSX hardcore clutch for racers

After one year with a "melange" between CT light flywheel and Sachs Racing clutch parts (partialy sintered) I'm now going to the next DEFCON step: Sachs Race engineering is helpful enough to build a complete racing clutch for the NA 2, including the outer part of the flyweel with the teeth. Only the aluminium inner disc from the CT flywheel is kept from the old clutch.

All friction parts are sinter metal and there are no damping springs any more. That means you have some kind of "non compliance" clutch, really digital (all or zero) - nothing for street driving at all. This clutch is the same they use in the race version of the Porsche 996 GT 2 where it has to deal with nearly double the torque of a stock NSX. So I have high hopes that it will last much longer than my last clutches (one per year).

First race track test with the prototype will be november, the 1st, at the meeting of the European NSX & Honda Sportscar Club on the Rhine Ring near Colmar (France). Everybody who attends this meeting is welcome to ask, the rest could read about the experiences here.

BTW: The estimated costs for all parts is under 1,400 Euro and I have no commercial interest - so this is nothing for the dealers/vendors forum. Although you may take the hint that Sachs Race engineering Germany has the strong will to support NSX race addicts like me (and you??)
