In the left lane, naturally
I am the new, very happy owner of a 95 NSX-T with OZ Formula 1 wheels that are missing the center caps. I have searched everywhere on the internet, including the OZ site, Tirerack, Ebay, etc...and have not been able to find replacement center caps. Any suggestions on where else I might get lucky?

If you pop out a cap there will be a 4 digit number on the back most likely. It will probably start with a letter and end with three numbers (ie - m571, N224, etc...). We often have caps loose left around that are not on inventory. I'll see if I can find you something.

Ps- I will need the color scheme (probably silver/black or grey/yellow on an older OZ) and the number of caps you need as well. I'm sure we can find you some kind of solution.

Thanks Aaron - unfortunately, I don't have any of the caps. They are silver 5 spoke (double spoke) wheels that say "OZ F1 Locking System" where the cap would be. The wheels have a funky wrench to remove the center lug. I don't know how old they are, as I just bought the car, and I can't find them on the OZ website (maybe they were the precursor to the current Formula 1 wheels). I'm not sure if there is a standard cap size or if they are specific to that wheel - anyways, I would need all 4. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks again!

No problem, we will go to plan b :)

PM me a fax number and I'll dig up some old pics of OZ wheels that is could be when I get into the office in the morning. Once I know the wheel I can figure it out by going back in our records and seeing what cap it was.

Aaron -

I just got the fax - thanks for your persistence. From the fax, I think the wheels I have are the F1 Plus. The rivets aren't too clear, but that is definitely the spoke and hub pattern. I miscounted the spokes earlier - it is 6 instead of 5.

Let me know what you think from here.

Thanks again!

I have am working on it right now... I have OZ checking their old inventory and a person here at the Tirerack is going through our misc. caps that we have left for wheels that are no longer available. I'll let you know what we can find....

The cap that you need on your wheel (which is actually more of a cover plate) is made up of 5 pieces. After checking everything what both us and OZ have available I unfortunatly can not make you up a set of caps (and the pieces are all no longer in production). :( I do however have enough pieces to make one full plate up minus the outer OZ logo if you can find anyone else that has a used set or something of the like.

I will list you the part numbers needed along with what OZ and myself have available so that you can possibly keep trying to find the pieces. Here you go:

1. OZ F1 center plate - I have 2 available @ $55.00 each
OZ part number - M601

2. OZ F1 center nut- I have 1 available @ $30.00
OZ part number - M575

3. OZ F1 sys logo - I have none
OZ part number 91400276

4. OZ F1 center nut wrench M604 - I have 4 @ $10.00 each
OZ part number - 90400068

5. OZ F1 lockset - I have 4 available @ $8.00 each
OZ part number - ozlockf1kb

Sorry we could not help, it sounds like you may have all of the pieces of the plate other than the one I can not get :(

Aaron:

Thanks for busting your butt to try to help me out. I will probably just leave it the way it is for now, since it looks like a simple solution is out the window. Who knows....I might see someone else's sweet wheels and decide to change mine altogether. If I do, I'll be sure to order them through you and TireRack.

Thanks again - your effort is much appreciated!
