With the targa top on or off, and the drivers side window down, I hear a soft chiming sound at around 40 mph, which appears to eminate from the left rear end..Anyone else experience this situationn? Your help would be apprecited...
Many thanks,
Corey

Does the noise sound "mechanical" or "electrical" in nature?

Does it go away above 40 MPH?

Does it sound like high-pitch or low-pitch?

Is it constant, intermittent or periodic?

When my passenger seat is occupied, I sometimes hear a soft chiming sound emanating from the right side of the interior at speeds above 80 mph. It sounds like, "You're going to get a ticket, I want to go home, let me out right now, ..." :D

I had the same problem, fixed it by turning up the radio. :)

I too get a very soft 'chime' noise going through 50-60 kph (@35 mph). Kinda like NSXtasy's but mine must be saying "Hello-speed up, you can go faster, let's go for a looong drive".

I too have heard the chime in my left ear. Sounds more like jingling keys to me. Sometimes it’s very hard to hear though, because in my right ear I keep hearing my neighbor’s dog, Sam, yelling at me to kill people.

Coreyco, I bet you’re sorry you ever asked this question.

Hi

This noise we here are talking about is not only present in the NSX. My brother had a bad noise in his Porsche 911.

It was loud and annoying. Mostly the noise was high pitched and appared when going through turns with some speed.

It went away when his GF moved out. He now has a Cooper S and have not experienced those kind of problems in that yet ;)

Go figure;)

(Sorry Corey I hope there are somebody more serious than the last posters including me) :)

Regards

Prolly the only plausible answer.

Coreyco, I bet you’re sorry you ever asked this question.

Except my questions were meant to really help him find the noise. Honest.
