I need your advice. I am planning on purchasing a vehicle out of state. I have never seen it person, just pictures. My question is,
has anyone here ever purchased a nsx without physically seeing the car in person?

thanks

Hi

I live in Norway far from any state :)

However if you ask here on this forum there are probably people here that can help you out. They can check it out for you before you decide to go any further.

Just ask and you will be amazed what can be done. :)

Regards

My experience

Buying my NSX out of state (in 1997) was the most fun car buying experience I had. I found my NSX in North Dakota and found a nice fellow on our NSX mail list to go check it out for me. He came back with a three page report detailing every little thing about the car, something I surely didn't expect. That was enough for me to fly out of California with a friend to inspect it personally with the intent of buying it and driving it back home. The car was perfect. Paid the man and drove it back. Registering it in California was no problem since the white sticker in the engine bay on the firewall states the car meets California emissions. After six years, I still have the car. It's still as perfect as the day I bought it.

Just do your homework and have someone help you inspect the car, preferably an NSX knowledgeable technician. I had a friend along with me when I bought my NSX as a second set of eyes but couldn't arrange an inspection at an Acura dealership since the closest one was over 250 miles away.

I did exactly just that. I didn't get to see the car in person but the owner sent me the pictures I had requested. The car was in TN. In my excitement, I didn't have someone check out the car for me. A dealer or an NSX enthusiast. I relied on the owner's word. Turns out his word was as good as gold. Yes, I lucked out. If I had to do it over again, I would have had someone look at it for me. Someone was smiling on me. :D
