I have been hoping and waiting for Honda to give us something in regards to the next nsx,and with the buzz surounding the HSC I thought I would get a poll together.It is a simple one but is important,imo.Paddle shift is becoming the rage in most manufacturers implimentation.I enjoy the challenge and thrill of being able to shift myself,esp at the track.The dance of quick shifts with good blips and quick clutch work is part of the thrill and personal reward of high preformance driving(IMHO).Therefore I hope that Honda gives us the choice like Lambo and Ferrari have.
 
I want the quickest way from point A to B. That is what a clutchless paddle shifter will allow. Both hands on the wheel all the time and much easier left foot braking. I only want two pedals in my footwell.
 
I have never driven a paddle shift yet, so I would like to have a choice. :)
 
Never driven a paddle shifter either, but I just love the S2000's
6-speed, so I'd opt for the traditional 6-speed layout. BTW, what's the primary advantage of the 7-speed? Extra OD?, more
ratios in the 60-100 mph range?

IF the sequntial shift is anything like the others like the SMG in the BMW, than it can be used in full auto as well.

I would like the option of both a clutch and SMG, but I probably would get the SMG so my wife can drive the car as well.
 
Yes indeed most paddle shift trannies have a full auto mode.The real reason I posted this poll is because I pray that Honda gives us a choice.I will have a real problem if they force a sequential on us.
 
I think I'd stay away from the SMG the first go round since it's unproven (by Honda). Who knows what problems the SMG BMW will run into down the road.

But I'd like to have the option of both.

No Slushbox. One thing I like about the S2000 is that it's MT only so at the very leat every owner knows how to shift (something lacking in half the population it seems).
