Seat Removal

Going to tackle my clutch cylinder replacement this weekend - it was mentioned to remove the driver's seat first to allow more room to get to it.
Any tricky issues with removing the seat? Or is it pretty straight forward?
As always, appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance!

If I recall it's four bolts and disconnect the electrical feed. I remember I used some towels in the surrounding areas as protection during removal.

The trick is to put blanket around the door to prevent any damage to your car when you take the seat out. Use 14mm socket on all 4 bolts. Tilt and lean your seat up toward the center so that you have more room to disconnect the wire harness. The last step is to remove the seat belt by using a 17mm socket.

Here's the FAQ on seat removal.

I worked on this project Sunday and last night - the seat removal is no doubt one of the easiest jobs on the car! I also removed the passenger seat so I could condition both with Leatherique.
And my net worth just increased bt 41 cents! (change found under the seats)

I just did this today to install my Dali racing seat cushion (thought I'd raise this thread from the archives). Definitely an easy job. The only thing I found different from the FAQ was that my seatbelt bolt was 14mm not 17mm. I'm going to need to change my signature because now I've got the headroom!

So I cruise around to check out my new found space (I can even heel-toe now because my knee doesn't hit the steering wheel) and what do I get for my troubles? CHECK ENGINE LIGHT! dammit. Back to the dealer for warranty service-- so now my 45 minute seat project will be an all day affair.

I know this was an old thread but just a quick tip for reference for anyone about to remove their seats:
Put seat all way forward to remove the rear bolts first, then all way back to remove the front bolts - removing in this order leaves the rails in retracted position when you unplug the electrical connectors and makes the seats much easier to remove. The other way around has the rails extended to the rear & makes it unwieldy to remove.
Seems too simple but worth mentioning.

Since you mention warranty you may already be aware of this TSB - http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Reference/tsb/98-031.htm
but thewre it is for reference anyway.
