For the '91-'01, it seems like red and black is by far the most popular color. However, I don't think its true for the '02+. Seems like yellow and blue has taken over. What color '02+ NSXs were there at NSXPO?

I recall seeing silver, black, blue, red, and of course the imola orange. No yellow that I can remember. I think there were 2 black cars.

That was true for '91-96, when red accounted for about 40 percent of sales, and black ~35 percent. That changed in '97, when yellow tied red for tops. In '98, red, silver, and yellow were all very very close (but finished in that order).

Here is the color distribution of the six '02+ NSXs belonging to NSXPO 2003 attendees (all of whom are members of the NSX Club of America):

1 Berlina Black
1 Imola Orange Pearl
2 Long Beach Blue Pearl
1 New Formula Red
1 Silverstone Metallic

All six were 2002 models.

(PHOEN$X's color vision is very good, but he may have had double-vision when he was looking at Michael and Tammy's black '02. :D )

And here is the color distribution of the thirty '02+ NSXs belonging to members of the NSX Club of America, regardless of whether or not they attended NSXPO 2003:

4 Berlina Black (all '02)
0 Grand Prix White
3 Imola Orange Pearl (2 '02, 1 '03)
5 Long Beach Blue Pearl (2 '02, 3 '03)
5 New Formula Red (3 '02, 2 '03)
6 Silverstone Metallic (5 '02, 1 '03)
7 Spa Yellow (4 '02, 3 '03)

Thanks for the correction, Ken. I went through all my photos, and put all the 02+ NSXs on one image. The occupants of the black NSX on the top right do not seem to be the same as the one on the top left, was it the same car or was it a conversion? (If a conversion, it was very well done!) BTW I love the orange. :)

Well, there are no occupants of the car on the top left. You can't see the people standing next to it very clearly, and from what I can see, it doesn't look like Michael or Tammy. (I would guess that Michael and Tammy are in their thirties.) It's not easy to see the occupants on the top right, but I think the passenger might be Michael; I'm not sure. The driver is not Tammy. ;)

I'm pretty sure that they had the only black '02+ there, because someone had asked me whether there would be a black '02+, so I probably would have noticed if there were another one.

One more photo...

I dug a little more, and found these pics. Now I am curious, were there two black 02+ NSXs or not?

 I don't remember there being 2 Long Beach Blue Pearls at NSXPO. I'm sure my Wife or I would have remembered seeing another LBBP. Unless the owner left for home early and did it before the Go-Kart event at RPM. There might have been 2 registered NSXCA owners attending with '02 LBBP, but 1 of us didn't bring our car and it wasn't me. Not that I would doubt the registration list or nsxtasy.

The owner of the other '02 Long Beach Blue is from Carmel, CA and a friend of mine. He only attended NSXPO on Friday.

There were two black 2002+ NSXs.

One was owned by Michael and Tammy. The other black one was owned by American Honda and was driven by Mr. Kent "Woodwork" Shepley.

The picture of the black NSX with the hatch open are Michael and Tammy's. You can actually see Michael in that picture.

The other black NSX (next to my blue NSX-T) is Kent's. You can see Kent Shepley in the drivers seat in the other picture.

Here is a bad picture I took of Kent while driving past him near the Golden Gate Bridge scenic area (I don't recall the name of the stop...)

Aha! Of course!

And that's why I don't have it in the database as "his", so it didn't turn up in a search...

I know this is a bit off topic, and I'm sorry, but I don't think it's worth starting a new thread..........Someone at NSXPO informed me that my 1998 Black w/Camel is very rare. He said there weren't many made with camel inside, most were black. He said there were more in the earlier years, but the 97-99 span had hardly any in that color combo, is this true??? Does anyone know??

What is the meaning of the number 05 on that silver NSX? I saw a red one today at work (pre 02) with the number 63 on it.

Sure. You didn't think of checking in the FAQ, did you? ;)

In 1998, out of the total U.S. sales of 245 cars, 37 were black/black and 6 were black/tan.

In 1997, out of the total U.S. sales of 338 cars, 46 were black/black and 22 were black/tan.

There is an imaculate 98 black and tan at goodson acura for sale if anyone is interested in that combo.

wow...so that means, according to the faq. out of the 6 in the US we know where 3 of them are. My car (November calander..hint hint), Narlee's car (guy I met at Expo) and the one Netviper just mentioned. I love useless information:D:D:D

Imola Orange is the most gorgeous color on the redesigned NSX, in my opinion.

I like the Long Beach Blue. And it was nice to see it next to the Monte Carlo Blue at NSXPO 2003. The difference was striking; the LB was significantly brighter than the MC, although not garishly bright like the Monaco Purple Blue.
