Anyone having problem passing California smog inspections with Dali Chip, comptech headers and Taitec exhaust?

I need a smog check before Dec and I won't want to pay $90 for a failured test? should I replace my OEM chip? :(

I actually did. I have a chip (don't know who made it-previous owner had it installed), a comptech header, and a comptech exhaust. It did not pass.:( Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I ended up taking it to a smog check station where I am friendly with the attendant and it 'miraculously' passed.

What you want to do is to take it to have it first checked by a place that DOES NOT report it to the DMV just to see what your readings are. And by this I mean take it to a shop or Acura dealer that does NOT do official smog tests. Many shops have their own smog test equipment just so they can check on the cars that they work on. Find one of these shops first.

What you DO NOT want to do is to take it to an official smog check station to find out if it passed or not. The reason being is that everytime that they check out a car, the info is automatically sent to the DMV computers in Sacramento as the test is ocurring. If your car fails at a gross polluter level you are screwed because you can only have it checked at a test only center pretty much the rest of your life. This is a major hassle and should be avoided.

Most smog stations in my area(yours may differ) will allow a pre test for 20bucks to see if your car will pass without hooking up to the Sacramento DMV computer. If it's all good, then prepare to have them do the test immediately, before something changes.

I passed the Smog check today! But, it's very close...
My HC(PPM) is reading at "112" and the Maximunm Allowable is "114". Is this normal? Anyone have lower number then 112 on their 91?
