So this is how my story goes... I've been casually looking for a used NSX (I know people lease them new but does anyone actually purchase these new???) ya, been looking for one for months... Then, one day I saw on eBay a yellow 97 with 60K or so miles going for $38K (buy it now). So there I go think this one was mine cuz it was such a steal... Started counting my coins to be sure I can fork it out and checking to see how much insurance would be... Anyhow, later that day... right when i was about ready to buy, i called the dealer and he warned me that many ppl already called so if I was serious about the car, I better hurry and click "buy-it-now"... So ya, you guessed it, I was 20 seconds too late... I was so freakin pissed off and upset for the next week or so that I just went out and bought the 1st NSX that came along... So I ended up paying $48K for this 96 with 38K miles...

I think I overpaid a little bit but.... I gotta say though, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Not a single ding on this baby...... So, can someone tell me if I'm really missing out on the 97+ 3.2 litre engine (as opposed to the 96 3.0 that i got) or is the difference marginal???

Congrats! A 97 for only $38K sounds fishy, almost like a Florida Title wash kinda fishy! You will love the 3.0, not much diff between the two motors as far as performance goes. The after market treats the motors about equally as well. Have fun and start saving for wheels, springs, wings, superchargers, brakes etc :D

Ya, the performance differences are not that much to be concerned. If you are a better driver, then you will beat a guy in a 3.2.

Many more parts and upgrades for earlier model are available for less money IMO
