wow, i screwed this thread up. i was replying to my post about my blown engine hose and ended up posting a new thread. sorry. lud, or admin. you can delete this. thanks.

i did have it towed with a flatbed. i know there are specific flatbeds which are made to tow extremely low vehicles. i requested that when i called AAA, and they assured me that the flatbed would be able to handle the task. of course, they sent a standard flatbed truck. it was successful, but, it still squashed the front-end a bit. no major damage, but my ww spoiler was loosened a bit which caused me to catch a 3inch curb and rip it halfway off! . i reattached it and all is fine. just need some touch up paint.

The NSX is a really low car, even for a flatbed.

As long as they have some 2x4s to help the car get onto the flatbed, it should be fine.

The most difficult thing about flat bedding your NSX is seeing the car on the trailer. :(

Hope there isn't a "next time", but if there is, have them pull the car up backwards. Believe it ot not, there's a little more front-end clearance that way.

i had mine flatbedded once ...the trick is to make sure they have the bed extended out all the way to lower the angle of pitch. As the front is loaded on they can also then adjust the degree of the pitch till the front is cleared then the rest is cake.

Flatbeds..

I just had to relate my story... I relocated from Vegas to
Seattle earlier this year, company hired a firm to truck
all my cars. Apparently how these auto trans firms work is they
take your car to a local marshalling yard. When they have enough to load up a full semi, they go.

Anyways, they show up with 2 normal tow trucks and take the
Escalade and 750iL, using the standard T bar where you jack up the front wheels and basically pull it along with the cars rear wheels still on the ground. So, I tell the guy, "dont even think about using that on the NSX" and he assured me he was returning with a flat bed.

So they return, and here's goober #2, different guy, with, you guessed it, a T bar tow truck. I sent him packing, they finally showed up with a flat bed....and the battery died on my X right there in my driveway!! Quick run down to Pep Boys, and
up on truck she goes.

Anyways, I was amazed they would even think about drag towing a car like an NSX- these guys are supposed to be
"professionals" ;)

Anyways, all arrived OK, but it always makes me nervous when any car gets towed.

They are professionals.....Here in NYC most of them are professional car thiefs. They come ticket your car in five minutes and then jimmy your door open with a slim jim and within minutes your car is on its way to the impound yard. Ohh and if your parked inbetween cars you should see how they drag your car out sideways.
