The wheels are 17x8 and 18x10.5 fully polished 3 piece CCW. They are very light, stong and look just right to me. I've used CCW on my Z06 also and love them. The tires are 215/40/17 and 275/35/18 Kuhmo MX. I could have gone 285 or 295 but I kept hearing about the understeer and TCS issues. I have no rubbing at all and the car is dropped 1.5" on H&R springs.

They are very light...
How "light" are they? How much caliper relief area do they have (what BBK's will fit)? Style is not exactly my cup of tea, but if they have other models that are indeed light, I'm always in the investigative mode. ;)

THe company is called Complete Custom Wheel. THat being said I can tell you that he'll literally build the fitment you need around whatever brake kit you have. In terms of weight, I didn't weigh the (Dang, I should have) but I've onwed Fikse, SSR GT3, Kinesis etc. and I can tell you they seem to be very light when you hold them compared to the others.

I assume...

this is his web? :http://www.ccwheel.com/

Do you know if he provides different finishes? I saw a set of HRE's at XPO that had a crinkle black finish on the web with a polished lip that I thought looked pretty good. Only prblem was they are boat anchors. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Yes. He'll do powder coated black centers and some other stuff.

beauty

Those wheels are very nice indeed. I like the look. Powerful yet not overdone. Pretty, pretty, pretty.:D :D . How much did they cost? :p

Wheels

INCREDIBLE!

Those wheels really do well with the spa yellow. :D

Great choice!

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I consider these wheels the best bang for the buck, which is saying a lot because I've had a lot of wheels. The are around 1800 for the wheels alone. Similar quality wheels from HRE are around 4K, 3K for I forged, and about the same for Fikse and Kinesis. They can be powdercoated also if you like. And John will build them to your exact specs.

Nicely done! I like it, especially with the drop. The wheels look more expensive than what you paid. Good deal. Just out of curiosity, do you know what your rear camber is?

Beautiful! I ran a set of CCW wheels on my old car for racing and autocrossing -- I never cleaned them, so I've never seen these wheels look so shiny. They look great on an NSX!

I was really tough on my CCW's but they stayed true. I even (unfortunately) rolled with a flat tire for a short stretch, but the wheel didn't bend. They definitely weren't heavy either...my 16x9's were around 16lbs. I called the manufacturer once about getting wider rims...he's a very nice and helpful guy. He's also unusually informed. I bought mine used, and when I mentioned the sizes and other information about the wheels, he was able to trace the wheels back to the original owner! I've never heard of such closeness of a manufacturer to their products in the wheel business.

Don't let the price fool you. John at CCW has been in the wheel business forever but is a small low overhead outfit. He's specialized in Viper, Vette, and Supra wheels in terms of the bulk of his business but he's made wheels for everything from Caddy's to BMW. His low overhead and non-gouging approach make it a good buy. Truth be told, any wheel is only worth so much. We're (especially us NSX owners with the NSX having a rare fitment) are so used to paying through the nose for wheels that we forget what it means to get a reasonable product for reasonable money. Anyway, here they are on my Z06. THe wheels on the red NSX are Fikse FM/10

Those are TIGHT!
Will they be hard to keep clean?

Believe it or not, no. The reason is that the car doesn't give off lots of dust, and two the surface is highly polished and doesn't hold dirt. Plus if you wax the wheels its even easier to clean by just hosing. I normally don't even directly scrub my wheels when I'm soaping. I dress the tires, and then I'll use a spray bottle of water and wipe everywhere even the crevices with the towel. So there's no dressing or dirt to get on the wheels.
