Is this accurate? JH4NA1185ST000685

Seems like too good of a deal so I would guess fraudulent auction. On the other hand the seller has good feedback with other car items and one high dollar transaction. Maybe stolen E bay ID? Any way you slice it 35k makes me suspicious.

re

I understand... But the buy now at 35k seems low to me too.. Either that or i'm a dumb ass and paid too much for mine... ahahahah

Yes, a Buy-It-Now price of $35K is awfully low for a 95 with ~31K miles.
Also a little bit fishy is the fact that there are only 2 pictures (which the seller calls "stock photo"??? Hmm, the wheels don't look stock). And the pictures do not match at all (the interior is all black, and has some sort of autumn leaf background, while the car itself is in a driveway).

Waiting on a digital camera seems like a weak excuse for not posting pictures for a large-ticket item like this. What, he doesn't know anyone with a digital camera who could help him out?

But, who knows, it's worth having someone check it out, just on the off chance that this is the deal of the century.

Is anyone in that area that could have a peek?

If not, I would have it checked by the local dealer. At a minimum, this would prove whether the seller actually has the car.

It also looks like the exhaust is an early oval tip model. I thought in 1995 it had a round tip, and also if you put a 3.2 in it, this would have to be modified to fit. I sense this car is not exactly as it is stated.

This car could be as stated - he mentions that these are "stock photos", so he probably just pulled NSX pictures off the website, with current text as well. The price seems good, but not outrageously low.

Maybe he doesn't know as much about the car as most of the posters here - but it could still be legit.

I emailed him.

Hello,
I am interested in taking a look at the NSX you have for sale. Could
you
please e mail me a phone number to get in contact with you? Is the car
in RI?

This is his response: I xed out the phone number. I will pm it if someone want to call him.

The car is actually in california right now (near san diego) The car is
going to get transported out to me this week unless I sell it
beforehand and I'll send it to the buyer.

My # is xxx-xxx-xxxx which is my cell phone

In addition, I forgot to list this on the listing, which I'll try to do
today

It has a comptech full exhaust, headers, cat and lowering springs. Just
the exhaust itself is worth about 3800.00

I am absolutely in awe of the people adventurous enough to buy a car on E-bay sight unseen and yet it happens a lot everyday !!! I've seen some E-bay purchases that would curl your toe nails - E-bay motors is the new sales frontier for the highly " creative " professional and talented amateur as well.

Your right if one does not put fourth due diligence there is a good chance of getting ripped off with a vehicle purchase on ebay.

I have sold one Truck 25K not through ebay but using ebay as a mean to advertise. My brother-in-law sells one or two cars on ebay every month with great results.

I have also purchased Two vehicles using ebay. One of those was an overseas owner that had the vehicle here in NY. I was very nervous and spent Two days checking out the seller before I even went to check the vehicle. I ran a background check on the seller through the internet. I also ran a check on the vehicle through carfax and the DMV from the three different states the seller has houses in the US. Everything checked out. I then made arrangements to look at the vehicle. After looking at the vehicle I paid off the balance on the vehicle and handed a check over to her contact here in NY for the balance. I then took the vehicle on the spot. The owner also left her insurance on the vehicle for me to drive it home. I called her insurance company directly to make sure the vehicle was in fact insured. This may seem like a lot of screwing around but I bought the vehicle for 10k under low book.

I also purchased a dump truck from Iowa over ebay. Had it shipped out here to NY was a great deal. I used it for a summer and then ended up selling it for what I paid including shipping.

9 year old nsx for 35k? Seems like the normal selling price. True asking is in the forty k range but most sellers still have there cars for sale that that price.
