Anyone considering taking a long position in the US dollar in O4?

Go long on the Dollar in 2004?

Did you take a long position???? I hope you did. What make you think of going long the dollar??? I thought the trend was getting a little long but commodities are tricky at times...

I began to think seriously about going long towards the end of Nov/beginning of December.
The things that have made me think on this path are as follows:
-contrarian currency positioning
-Once the dollar has established some support at low-levels, I see it difficult for the $ to break out on down side
-IF it doesn't break to down side, I think there is a good chance for a significant climb to the upside
However, I am certainly not an expert currency trader which is why I curious to other peoples' opinions on the subject.

I think going long may be smart. As soon as the Feds raise interest rates (they recently stated they're leaning this way, since the economy appears to be improving in their view), the dollar will shoot up.
