Fujitsubo ICONEL Alloy SuperEX Header System?

does anyone have this header system on their car.......on SOS they say it raised the power of a 3.0 liter about-290.9 PS / 6300 rpm! Now that is a big increasement for just headers!!!!!!:eek: Has anyone ever done this to a 2003 or 3.2 liter? Thank you in advance..................
 
yea.....i was shocked by that too.....but what is ICONEL? I think that is why it is exspensive..........
 
all i can find about it is that its some sort of nickel based alloy and that there are several types depending upon the alloy composition makeup. perhaps this alloy is made with platinum and the elusive NSX key material, unobtanium :).
 
Does anyone in the U.S.A. even have these on their car?? $11,000 for headers only is amazing. Wow.... :)
 
Inconel is a nickel/chromium/iron blend that was designed for use on jet engines. It's super light and super strong and is very heat resistant. The McLaren F1 uses inconel on their exhaust systems.

if you buy the normal version of the headers will it be less power then the exspensive one?
 
The normal version and the ICONEL version has the same dimension and same design so they should perform the same. You pay extra for the heat resistance and weight savings.

If you choose to go with Fujitsubo headers, you might want to consider the Fujitsubo exhaust to complete the exhaust system. I personally don't like to mix and match headers and exhaust. In addition, a tailored ecu like MINES JAPAN can further enhance the performance of the engine.

I brought a set over from Japan for George Wang. They are a work of art. Absolutely the best craftsmanship I have seen in a header. If they were mine I would hang them on my wall with spot lights. Dan
 
The right spelling is: Inconell
Its a high temperature alloy, Ni based.
Exact consistence:
(Ni-Cr-Co-Mo)

Its one of the most expensive way to spend the money.

All formula 1 engine manufacturers uses this material for the exhaust system, because its 'lighter than air' and very strong for the weight comparsion.
But it can break too under strong vibrations at high rpm's, because the material is so thin.
Its a 1/10 of the weight of a standard header.

The handling is very tricky, but the material is awesome.

Head protection parameter:

Aluminium 900° F
Stainless steel 1.800 °F
Inconell 2.200 °F

Surely the Inconell header version produce the same power output as the standard stainless steel version if the diameter of the pipes are the same.
Only the material cant increase that.
 
Inconel actually is not that light, it does weight more than titanium, but because it has incredibly high temp characteristics, including holding heat in, a good thing in an exhaust, it can be used in a header using material much much thinner than titanium, and that is why it makes the lightest header available. Less material equals less weight.

To find the weight of the metals displayed, multiply the weight of plain steel by the factor provided in the table.

The correct spelling is Inconel. A set of the Fujitsubo Inconel headers has been sitting on the shelf for three years now. The price is actually quite higher now due to the fall of the US Dollar to the Yen. They are a sight to behold though. Group buy anyone :)
